@xymox137 You can not, in any way shape or form modify an AR-15 action to go full auto without it not functioning properly and not going on safe. It just isn't possible. The internal's of a full-auto M16/M4 are almost completely different. The only thing's that are the same are the trigger's. The bolt's in a commercial AR-15 would not survive that sort of pounding either.
@Joe11Blue Who is giving you your info? An automatic is almost entirely the same EXCEPT the trigger. Another setting on the trigger assembly. The only difference in the bolt is it has a cut-out in the bottom to make sure the trigger sear doesn't reset. Other than that is almost entirely the same. Unless you buy some real piece of crap bolt it should withstand the beating of full-auto.

A full-auto weapon that actually can do full auto without melting, cracking, or jamming every two round's is completely different than and AR-15.

Possible, but improbable; you have to REALLY know what you're doing to modify a semi-auto rifle into full-auto. You can easily mess up your attempts at conversion, ending up with a non-functional rifle.
In addition, you may need specific parts to do the conversion that are not legally available just because such parts are required to do the conversion.
Plus, the "possibility" that it might be fully automatic isn't good enough.
You have to prove the weapon is illegal.
Otherwise, if he's carrying according to the law and there is no probable cause to believe a crime is being committed, it is legal no matter if it's against "common sense" or not.

No, the man carrying the weapon is fully legal. Here in Arizona you are allowed to carry weapons so long as they are in plain view. The only thing is, if it is a Class 3, they have to have a permit. But still, they can carry it in the open. However, it is illegal to conceal it without a conceal permit.

Although no one actually takes that law serious, but there are some people there that use the law as an excuse to own one or two. I'd assume there are more people in kennesaw that own guns than those who don't and the crime rate there is less than anywhere else in Ga. Go figure. P.S. I own 3, including an "assault gun". (AR-15)

Its possible of course for it to be modified to full auto. So it IS POSSIBLE its fully auto. However I have good still photos that seem to show that its NOT. Hard to tell 100% for certain.
I FULLY respect his right to carry. However my complaint is that he should have shown more common sense because I believe it made more average people think of assault weapons as something that should be banned. It also caused many people to think Libertarians are a bit crazy.

@xymox137 You can not, in any way shape or form modify an AR-15 action to go full auto without it not functioning properly and not going on safe. It just isn't possible. The internal's of a full-auto M16/M4 are almost completely different. The only thing's that are the same are the trigger's. The bolt's in a commercial AR-15 would not survive that sort of pounding either.

@Joe11Blue Who is giving you your info? An automatic is almost entirely the same EXCEPT the trigger. Another setting on the trigger assembly. The only difference in the bolt is it has a cut-out in the bottom to make sure the trigger sear doesn't reset. Other than that is almost entirely the same. Unless you buy some real piece of crap bolt it should withstand the beating of full-auto.

@sylentmyst Says my 12 year's of experience with both. The bolt's are not the same, the Bolt-carrier is not the same. The Hammer is not the same. Even the gas tube and buffer system are different. A full-auto weapon that actually can do full auto without melting, cracking, or jamming every two round's is completely different than and AR-15.
They are the same weapon as H2 is the same as the HMMWV. Only in external appearances are they similar.

Possible, but improbable; you have to REALLY know what you're doing to modify a semi-auto rifle into full-auto. You can easily mess up your attempts at conversion, ending up with a non-functional rifle.
In addition, you may need specific parts to do the conversion that are not legally available just because such parts are required to do the conversion.

From any dictionary:

No, the man carrying the weapon is fully legal. Here in Arizona you are allowed to carry weapons so long as they are in plain view. The only thing is, if it is a Class 3, they have to have a permit. But still, they can carry it in the open. However, it is illegal to conceal it without a conceal permit.

Well I have seen them that said to shoot a woman because they did not like what she was saying. It was on a different video. When that happens the person who makes a stupid remark like that should be responded to regardless of which side of the political fence they are on. It is just wrong to say those things.

J.Edgar Hoover stated that carry weapons around was the most dangerous threat to America. In fact, he waged a war against African American groups who did just that. Google "cointellpro". Olejazzman. I don't think it is intimidating. Maybe YOU are intimidated, but I am not. Please do not confuse us. In fact, most people there at the rally didn't seem to care either. My guess is because he was responsible and not threatening with it.
So what about Hoover? Are you trying to say that I have double standards because HOOVER was a Republican? Or because Hoover didn't like people carrying weapons around him when he was President?

It is a carbon 15. Same design as an AR-15, but in 9mm. Notice it does not have the mud cover over the ejection port, and the magazine is too small to carry .223 cartridges.

Associated Press confirmed that the weapon the gentleman was carrying was not a "machine gun" but a semi-auto AR-15 Rifle which is legal to own with no permit (in most states). He also has the muzzle of the weapon pointing towards the ground which is a standard safety rule when carrying loaded rifles in the presence of others.

If you go to the Arizona/Republic website (news paper) YOu can see close up pictures of the weapon.
It is NOT full auto.

That way people can (a) judge for themselves what the weapon is (b) judge what political idealogy the people are and (c) make their own conclusions of whether it is right or wrong. Even the guy with the AR15 (which is not a machine gun but rather a semi-auto) is pumping his fist with the chants. In other words, the guy with the gun is FOR Democratic/Socialist Obama.
