  • awesome! How did you get the light to work with the hardrive like that?

    This is exactly what I was looking for! I'm surprised no one had made kits for computer modders....any chance you will?

  • i always thought that if you removed the casing off a hard drive it would get a speck of dust on it & kill it.

  • It was built in a class 100 clean room so dust wasn't a problem. In a normal hard drive, one or two specs of dust would not normally kill a drive. The hard drive shown has a filter on the jar so small quantities of dust are thrown off into filter when the platters spin up. But opening a HDD in your bedroom is not normally recommended!
