This sucks, but what really sucks is just how routinely things like this seem to happen in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Almost every day, there's a story in the news about an drone strike or other operation killing 5-100 "suspected militants". But rarely ever a shred of info on WHY, or even of what, they are suspected. Civilians are being murdered left and right, but what, aside from World War III, can persuade America to stop?

When you kill those who you came to "liberate", something isnt working very well both at the conceptual and operational levels. I believe is it high time for a kind of USACE force, that is, armed aid workers to put a country back on track and defend temselves if need arises. We need a kind of the "combined arms platoon" approach from the Vietnam era. Soldier whose fundamental task is to build things and use arms only (and only if) a clear need arises. Best from Spain.

I do NOT in anyway support Taliban or Islam, however, western armies have no business there. It is up to the Afghan people under what kind of regime they want to live. If they want to live under Taliban, it's their choice. If not, it's up to them to revolt against the mullahs, NOT for the westeners to try impose their will. Afghan people alone must be the ones to decide their future/lifestyles. All western troups should pull out IMMEDIATLY, likewise with Iraq.

The problem is these solders are trained mostly for field warfare against other solders, not for police tactics like this. The training has to change, These solders are being used as police officers, witthout the proper training
