ive been sitting here for about an hour looking for a version of this song that i like. after 7 tries, i like yours the best. the best thing you did was add just the right amount of reverb (and have a great voice). it was ominous, but not quite ominous enough for what i feel it should be based on the lyrics. i agree that you were a little far from the mic. i also think you could probably play better because it sounded a little off at times. but your voice is beautiful and you have great range
