Buckshot of Black Moon lays down some amazing knowledge in ''How To-Rap'':
"It's trying to create something spiritual. I try to take the yin and yang approach, which is the balance. Negative and positive is a part of life, so when I write, I write from that perspective—I write from the yin and yang."
Really on-point quotes in that book, they had everyone from the golden age and the pioneers and most of the underground all took a role in making it, best book out.
In fact......listen to this track how Buckshot harmonizes and rhymes. Ol' boy was doing that when guys like Drake who do it now were still wearing diapers.
Straight classic. The people who dislik this song , all that can say is " Buck Em Down ". This shit is pure hip hop right here. The early 90's the Back Pack era , which they attempting too bring back.

Damn.. See this is the difference between new school and old school.. Back in the day they'd re-write the whole song! Now they just edit all that bullshit and you can't even tell what they're talking about.. Peace to Black Moon Buckshot is one of the best MC's ever no doubt
This is when teenage rappers were dope. BM were only 18 when they did this - nowadays 18 year old rappers equal Soulja Boy....Step y'all game up new generation!! Y'all gotta save this shit because the rappers from my generation are starting to get long in the tooth!!
@baazbana I know, it was meant as a compliment - you don't need a bag of weed to like it cause it's such a great tune, you will also like it without ;)
That's what made Blackmoon's remixes some of the best EVER! The album version was raw, hard and in your face with explicit lyrics... but then they dropped the remix which was smooth, laid back, "radio friendly" but still just as ill as the original, if not better! I still enjoy vibin' off of their music to this day!

@Orangebike666 that's pretty dope, love how traditional hip-hop attracts people together like that. Sucks that it's being so badly represented nowadays
@Orangebike666 I get what you're saying, sometimes using that word gets chippy, even though it may be justified. Sometimes it leads to head butting when you talk to people who aren't familiar with it's purer form. They take it as an attack on them as they identify themselves with it's commercialized form. I used to get in arguments all the time with people who were so stubborn about the topic that tried to justify it's existence.
@Orangebike666 Cont. I eventually stopped wasting my energy, kinda frustrated me though because hip-hop was a big part of my life for a long-time, as I used to mc and had a more vested interest in the artform. I think what the guy on the plane was speaking to was it's misrepresentation and how people interpret that misrepresentation as being it's new-found meaning. Due to repetition it becomes true to those who internalize those negative and false images as being true.
@bigelow345 I got you. I was being sarcastic of course there is real hip hop I was being funny saying that some of the shit now days is nothing but fake.
