For all those employers who bully employees or ignore bullying, please note - an employment tribunal in the UK has recently awarded £4.1m (US$6,425,725) against an employer who engaged in bullying of an employee and allowed others to bully the same employee. Two employees involved have been ordered to pay heavy damages as well as the employer. Be warned. The victims of bullying are fighting back. And the cost of bullying is high - very high.

So now I'm a City letter carrier and I'm doing quite well and I love it but guess what! Now a fricken 60 year old mail carrier is trying to harass me in a round about way on the work room floor. I will not will not will not put up with it anymore. I am writing everything down this time and I will make any bullies accountable!!!!!

I was bullied by women employees at a medical office I worked at to the point they lied to the dr's saying I didn't do my work etc and so they fired me! They said they would give me a good reference. I went to my next medical office then was bullied by the bitch office manager after I lost 15 pounds...the girls I worked with sucked her butt because they were afraid of her so they gave me a bad review but then said oh but your a great employee we'll give you an excellent reference!

I am a victim of workplace bullying and it is true; the bullys behavior is supported by the CEO/director. When the bully is Lorraine, Lorraine can do no wrong.. She is trying to save the institution money, no lay off; just bully senior minority workers; 20-35yrs of service with excellent yearly performance appraisals so they will resign. I am not allowing 35yrs of service to be erased. The bully and institution supporting these tactics will be exposed to the media. I will blog my experiences.

This gentleman knows exactly what he is talking about. I have suffered terribly in my workplace (and still am). I have never met this man, and yet he is describing my workplace ordeals like he was there when these dreadful events happened. I applaud you for your great efforts.

@bbooz - you should not post this kind of stuff on the internet. If the bullies find out, they wont tell you. They're likely to make matters worse, cover their tracks and you won't know why. Best to be careful and consult anonymously on the internet with experts. And ultimately your HR dept. But before going to HR get advice from experts (experienced, lol), etc.

Judao-Masonic "workplace mobbing" also applies from MIDDLE SCHOOL through UNIVERSITY!

If the target has children in school they too are targeted for a Smear n Mob / Mug and Drug campaign.

Depending on the target, this can trigger multiple forms of PTSD, depression and various anxiety disorders like OCD; it exacerbates any intrinsic difficulties or tendencies. (ie. OCD is genetic.)

Resulting in addictive psychotropic drugs!

@easyworship It's time we all fight back. I have experienced it from more than one person, and have seen the same married couple who targeted me go after another person. They also have a history of bullying which I was unaware of. I'm no longer sitting back; it's going to stop.

Thank you Dr. Namie for explaining exactly what workplace bullying entails. I really believe the officials at the University of Pennsylvania either don't know or don't care. At any rate, my friends situation is unique insofar as he no longer works under the two psychopath(s). The main psychopath used university resources and government funds to target an ex-employee. Talk about chutzpah.

I am a top performer, there is nothing to critize about my measurable performance. And my boss is a bully, she twist the rights to wrong, she team up with my direct to intimidate me and watch me every move.... it was hell

I suffered depression, thought of suicide and anxiety disorder.... I complained, and now she is retaliating... after 12 months, she still there looking good from the top management. .. she got the support of her boss, and this kind of behavior will not stop.....

I'm going through exactly what your going through now. Just got out of the hospital and diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Same BS. I was forewarned by long time citizens about this company, but I needed the income. The boss was threatened by me b/c I excelled at my work. The place was dirty and I cleaned up my area and that is what brought on the bullying. It was bad management all the way up. I heavily believe in Karma. Just do what you need to do to take care of you.
