i will allways prefer scandinavian/european black metal. but there are good bands from USA too in the black metal scene, like Absu. I love Absu.
But they will never achieve the feelings and music that most good european, especially scandinavian, black metal bands have. i think that's a impossibility.

Let me rephrase that "better USBM" meaning some good USBM bands that have potential and look at Black Metal for what it is, the true essence of beauty and art >:) So I am not dissing you in any way shape or form, I am just trying to let you realize that some of us Americans do understand the real meaning behind Black Metal. Please forgive me if I sound blunt, that's just the way I am. Hails!
i agree with you, just because somebody is Norweigan doesnt mean shit, it seems like they think that because they are from one of the main parts of where BM began they think they know everything. And they would know that Sarcofago from Brazil were a huge influence in what the norweigans created. some good BM bands have come from the US, such as Judas Iscariot, Averse Sefira, and Xasthur.
