I agree with your thoughts on the Saw series. Their done really well and I do look forward to Saw VI, I just hope they stop relying on those flashbacks cause it does make it a bit hard for a new viewer to get into the series, but at the same time allows the viewer to appreciate a continuing and intriguing storyline. So its a double edge sword and I hope they get to a point where they say, "Okay this is the end," and not over extend its welcome.
Hey, thanks for answering my questions fury. In my opinion though, I loved the new movie.
Yeah, it wasn't perfect, a lot of mistakes, but it was a very entertaining popcorn flick.
Then again, I didnt grow up with it, I grew up in the late 90s and early 00s. There are some Cartoon Network shows from the past that I NEVER want translated to live-action such as Dexters Lab or Ed,Edd,& Eddy.
I don't know how much of a gamer you are, but with your review of Max Payne, I think you should of heard of the Prince of Persia series. So my questions are these:What do you think about the movie in general and do you think it was a good idea to cast Jake Gyllenhaal as the prince or do you think they're just trying to get a big named actor to do the movie to get attention?
Don't get me wrong, I own and think a lot of the movies Jake is in are great films... but then again, I am weird.
World of Warcraft- the video game of over 14million players is releasing a movie in the next two years? If you know anything about the game how epic or not good do you think the movie is going to be?
Also, Tales of the Past III hour and a half machinima- have you watched it what did you think?
um yeah, I kinda know what World of Warcraft is.. I've been playing it FOR FOUR YEARS!!! I just quit that damn game, that damn addicting game, that damn...sweet..delicious game. I'm FREE!!! I think if they make a movie it should be all animation. Why shouldn't it be, are we not tired of every single animation either being crap or for kids only? Wouldn't we like a kick ass animation for mature adults? I do.
I haven't seen tales of the past but I will get around to it.
dude I hate the design of EVERY bay transformers. Prime with lips?? they all looked BAD...I'm not saying they needed to be blocky but every time they moved it was like Ang Lee's hulk, a whole lot of motion and nothing going on.
Hey gurly, My favorite foreign film..gotta think about it, I think I got favorites from india, japan, thailand, and france. I got a few favorites. I'll get back to you
what do u think about the final destination movies, and are u pumped for the 4th one its going to be 3D, and also what is ur view on "stoner" movies ( ie, dazed and confused, half baked, cheach and chong )
if I was gonna patronize people I would really do it, that was me criticizing michael bay's style over substance. For those who liked Transformers because of the visual effects and action it's quite fitting. People were willing to ignore huge problems with the film because it had that. Michael Bay is a walking cliche and his movies are nothing more than expensive flash and very little substance. If people like that then yeah, nobody does it better. would I call them idiots for liking it?
About Saw, I ADORED the first one, I loved the second one, I liked the third one, but ever since the fourth I've had a bad taste in my mouth every time I heard about the new sequel.
I just think they should have given closure to Saw with the death of Jigsaw, instead of using and stablished name to keep on making movies
The funniest part of the Harry Potter books is when it says "dumbledoor and harry both got out their wands and compared lengths", this was only really picked up on when J.K.Rowling admited Dumbledoor was gay. I think she did this later so people wouldn't show any prejudice to him while reading the book.
I just saw The Wrestler as well. that movie was so good, that i actually forgot that i was watching a movie after a while, and as a wrestling fan myself (although not as much as when i was younger) the film was extremely entertanining. someone mentioned twilight, ugh the sad sad fate of vampire movies. speaking of them have you seen From Dusk Till Dawn? i argue that movie as one of the best vampire movies of all time! lol
Big fan here from Peru. Actually this is kind of a request, Can you review the Death Race remake, I enjoyed that a lot, but I wanna hear your thoughts, if you can of course. Thanks.
i hated transformers, not because it ruined the series for me ( i never watched it), there was always too much going on at once in the action scenes, i couldnt figure out what was going on, i just didnt enjoy it
I agree with you on The Wrestler, man, totally. That movie's really stayed with me over the past couple of days, and I keep getting the Boss' song stuck in my head. I'd say my other two films of the year that really made an impression on me, so far, are Let the Right One In and Slumdog Millionaire.
MILK might round out my Top 5, along with Dark Knight, but I'm unsure at this point. I still have to see Frost/Nixon for a final verdict. I did like MILK a lot, and I had previously seen the wonderful 1984 documentary, The Times of Harvey Milk. Both are enormously affecting in their own ways, and Gus Van Sant's cinematic treatment of this great man's life has come out in a very timely fashion, what with the recent passing of Prop 8. Sean Penn BECAME Harvey.
Do you watch movies, even ones you don't want to, solely for us who wish to see your review? Or do you watch them out of curiosity, or hope that they won't be as terrible as they seem?
And, if it doesn't take too much time to answer this one:
When was the last time that you enjoyed a movie contrary to popular belief? We know about the vice-versa with Transformers, but has there ever been a movie that you truly liked, even though the majority hated it?
There's a whole philosophy behind Saw that's really compelling as it is also pretty damn disturbing but if people can believe in thetans then there's people who can believe in Jigsaw.
I don't care for remakes, too many people look to pay homage instead of making the film their own and I DO plan on seeing Bloody valentine but not in 3D...I hate 3D
Saw was good i believe it was a fairly low budget film but came out really good.
