Pro Choice arguements are flat and lack critical thought. There is a reason you cant find a video of an abortion anywhere around.... gee I wonder why. If a woman cant seem to take the personal responsiblity to not get pregenate, then what gives her that right to suck the brain out of a child because it would put a damper on her party life? Palin does not believe the government should make choices for women. She believes that government should not allow women to kill babies, or anyone else for that matter. It's what's know as 'Right to Life', and is a god-given right that is applied to the yet to be born baby, as well as living babies, and grown ups. A great ad. Perfect to play on a woman's fear and emotions to take focus away on other issues. Why not say Palin would encourage breast cancer growth to scare women even moreso.
I don't have an informed opinion on whether abortion is wrong nor right under any circumstance but this ad is only there to scare people into not focusing on other issues or alternatives. Even though Palin may have contradictory opinions to others about abortion she cannot change the laws herself.
Whether you have an informed opinion or not, you shouldn't belittle women's fears and emotions about this ISSUE. Women's reproductive rights are just as important as any other issue we may choose to measure a candidate. The conservative right has been fighting long and hard to overturn Roe V. Wade (i.e. "changing the law") and Sarah Palin is among this conservative base. It seems that YOU are the one who is afraid to face the feelings that this ad, and this issue, raises. Work on that opinion.
O.K. I am an ER nurse who has taken care of at least 50 rape victims during my career. There is a pill we give these victims immediately which prevents fertilization. So this issue is bullshit as it was bullshit decades ago when Roe V Wade became "law". That was the big excuse for having abortion "legal". Is anyone saying that the 4 million fetuses aborted were all products of rape and incest-slippery slope!
did you know that many catholic hospitals deny ec based on moral beliefs and that only 16 states have laws that mandate all emergency rooms give ec to rape victims? did you know that even in those states many hospitals including secular ones dont dispense it? did you know that the pill fails about 11% of the time and that some women cant take the pill for hormonal reasons? if you would like to change this, contact congress to get it mandated across america.
leiapeison- I don't know where you are getting your statistics. I live this and I work at a very large Catholic hospital. It turns out this was an actress getting paid by Obama's campaign. Everyone was so anxious to hire this man who never ran anything-probably not even his own family-appears to be run over by Michelle so I guess we will all see, won't we.I also see a lot of botched abortions, some girls have died in my ER. No one ever talks of that. Whatever happened to adoption?
i am very pro adoption also.i just dont think it should be the only option to an unwanted pregnancy. i got my statistics from govt websites and invterviews with women who were denied the pill. are those botched abortions dyi? r u talking about legal abortions? if so then those doctors need to be held accountable. i never heard anyone discredit this woman. no one seems to be able to find out who she is.
@usnrnurse what a stupid question. do you have any idea how many children are wards of the state? adoption is NOT always the best choice, statistically you have a 60% chance of youre child staying a ward of the state until they are an adult unless you are lucky and have an open adoption that happens to work out.

Do a quick search of Heidi Voight (extremely brave & courageous woman) & emergency contraception.
