  • ozzy should have kept the 2 album hoodoo going. I mean if zak left after the desire record he would have been looked on more favourably than he is today-it took a decade b4 jake started to get the kudos he deserved because he didnt wear out his licks and people didnt get bored of his style like they have with wylde

  • awesome

  • This IS/These ARE THE ACTUAL FINISHED TRACKS from BATM w/o effects/solo/etc. I heard this WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY back in '82-'83 so it's not actually a DEMO unless you catagorize rough mixes as demos? If so, then yeah, it's a demo but rest assured, those are FINISHED tracks that you hear on the actual record! :)

  • GOD HIMSELF listens to OZZY :)

  • Did Jake convert between rhythm and lead???

  • the outro solo is the best ! lol

  • I have a solo cover of this song...Check it out....Please Rate and Comment ...

  • No dude , He meant GOD !!!! Lemmy is merely a man !

  • @AzKkMcFaN Yes, but God is merely a fictional character!

  • @TheAngryIntellectual And you know this how?

  • @drummerkid71 Common knowledge and logic.

  • @TheAngryIntellectual Common knowledge and logic? Wow! That's all I'm saying about THAT response.

  • @drummerkid71 We're all withered by your sharp wit.

  • @TheAngryIntellectual Now you're speaking for everyone.....wow! You're on a roll, Dr. Know it all. Please spare me from your "intellect". Us unedumicated folk here ken lern lotz frum yoo sir ! pffft. Your name should be "the self proclaimed intellectual"

  • @drummerkid71 Refer back to my previous comment.

  • Bark at the Moon will always be my favorite Ozzy Album, butI love them all

  • Pretty nice. As said in the description, we can enjoy all Jake's talent at Rhythm..... But without the solos, there is a hole, something is missing....

I'd enjoy listen the Whole Ozzy Osbourne discography like this :)

  • He ment 'Lemmy bless you all'.

  • My tribute version

    to

    this

    great

    guitarplayer!

    watch?v=QzKjXeYinjQ

    abraços!

  • This sounds a lot like someone playing the old vinyl record of Bark at the Moon I bought at the record store in 1983 or so, put thru a computer mixer to make it seem like some sort of "collectible". It's too close to the original to be a real "find". Come on, man.

  • it will be nice so that i can play the solo over this without the original behind it.

  • 1:47-2:00 is my favorite part, that riff just sounds fucking awesome imo xD

  • Sounds like they used this for the final product, just adding in Jake's leads in the middle & end and cheezy keys. Jake's the man!

  • @danducati Yeah, it seems to be a rough mix rather than a demo.

  • I loved Randy.R but i always said Jake E Lee was the best guitarist Ozzy ever had! And yes, i like his skill better than ZW.

  • im sick and tired of ppl saying how awsome zak wylde is,he sucks and that pitch bend was cool the first 20 times but come on,he does it every chance he gets, its all he can do,randi can shred heff can shred, hell tommi iommi is metal god status but zak with out his pitch harminic and pitch bends would be just a hobo guitarist (which he looks like nowadays

  • i like this one better, exept for the no soloing part of course!!

  • i Hate the way ozzy would pull Jake E Lee's hair when he played in concert, He did Randy the same way , Some big ass person should pull ozzy;;s hair while he is singing,

  • Where did you get this? IT IS FREAKIN WICKED!!!

  • Jake's greatest strength as a player is his rhythm playing. I always thought he was one of the best in the business. He's came up with some great riffs when he was with Ozzy. The songwriting team of Jake, Bob Daisley and Don Airey came up with some amazing stuff. Too bad Ozzy(Sharon) stole all the publishing.

  • @metalupurassssss I remember it well!

  • I didn't really care for Jake's soloing style, but this track in particular shows off his grand talent otherwise.

  • sounds a bit like the power rangers them song

  • wow.. Ozzy is singing better in that one! =D

    LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jake E Lee fuckin rules!

  • those A and R people must have pissed their pants when ozzy threw this demo at them.......

  • Ozzy in his prime.

  • ...ozzy!

  • actually this version without the solo is kinda cool as a sort of backing track to solo over.

  • Comment removed

  • Jake was the man. One of the most under rated guitar players.

  • @DwDrake2000 COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!!!!

  • @DwDrake2000 Couldn't agree more.

  • yeah great version of song

  • i wish it had the solo but its alot better without the shitty keyboard part

  • @guitargod1598 I like it, it's an Ozzy thing. He utilizes it well in his music, gets away with it.

  • No guitar solo? A fake demo song probably. If Ozzy laughs at the beginning and howls at the end, why not to include a solo?

  • @scissormandvd Guitar solo's are usually the very last thing to be done, if they needed to send out a demo they normally get skipped

  • ZAKK WYLDE SUCKS COCKS

  • @VandenbergSykesCampb Die, cunt.

  • @darkjediguy123 because they were on tapes..tapes get old and degenerate, as a result the pitch gets warped. Also as a tape continues to be copied and copied the quality continually gets deteriorated.

  • why does this sound more awesome on the deom than the finsihed recording

  • no man, why does this guy Wild get all the loving what there have been two guys prior who could do the job and believe it or not do it tastefully in a genre where everyone basically went way the hell over the top and couldn't play anything musical and jerked off. Again fuck the new guy in the face.

  • I saw Jake play for Ozzy and then I saw Zack and Jake blew him the fuck away. Not even close. I'd like to see The Oz bring Jake back for an album myself.

  • @michaelspillman1 I would have LOVED to have Ozzy bring Jake back compared to his new guitarist. Nothing against Gus.... it's just Jake was amazing.

  • Riffing away! I like this guy and randy roads a lot more than I like shit head Zach Wild. Fuck that guy in the face.

  • @MrJohntube12 mad....

  • Holy shit, my comment is the highest rated on this page :)

I'll say it again, ZAKK WYLDE SUCK ASS! I take back what I said about him ruining Ozzy though, Ozzy recently covered a Lennon song called "In My Life" and it's amazing. Slash does the guitar on it I think. I encourage everyone who reads this to check it out.

And to MPVIDS, thank you again for posting this. I haven't checked back in a while but I'm ecstatic it's still here. You're the man.

  • @SNIPERxCITY He sure does.

  • @eric78900 You're a fag.

  • I miss Jake. He is a bit of a loner and does not make himself known. Zakk (shit-head) Wylde sucks. I wish Jake would have stayed.

  • Thanks for posting. Love to hear these.

I'm just grateful we have the Rhoads and Lee era albums to listen to.

    Inspiring guitar.

  • 最高

  • LOL your so full of shit!

  • ozzy had this song down, right from the demo! the only thing I noticed different was the solo in the middle, but it was good also.

  • is the good of guitaruist of cyntery ma critic part of this father in love p RACICOT.

  • jake is the best ozzy guitarist, end of!

  • Man this sounds even better than the studio recording. Love the guitar. Wish Randy would ave had the chance to play it

  • @mrdeersniper I love Randy Rhodes and what his playing did to inspire me but this song was made for Jakes playing. Randy would have rocked it but it would have been sooo different. I can't imagine BATM any other way.

  • jake rules!!!!!

  • Excellent bassline & sound ... one of my favourite ever !

  • @eric78900 - Zakk is AWESOME, but dude, you're fucking retarded.

  • @mmmDONUTS71 You eat dicks.

  • It was...pure audio magic to the ears back then and still is even now!

  • @eric78900 Bark at the Moon is an awesome album what are you talking about? And No More Tears is good but its no where near as good as Blizzard of Oz, or Diary of a Madman.

  • Super rhythm!! Awesome!! it's sad but nobody do great stuff like this anymore......

  • Jake is spitting out riffs like a 400 hp wood chipper!! Amazing display of guitar virtuosity!!

  • Randy needs to come back from the dead.

  • @AbnormalProLTD true, but ozzy was fine with jake e lee

  • to say jake e lee was equal to randy is kinda fucked up ther both where talented but i think the fact that randy kinda mixed classical with his shit made him different and unique

  • Actually I believe Brad Gillis was Ozzy's most underrated guitarist...my opinion only

  • yea but he was with him for like 4 months, he was good

  • I love RR, but Jake has always been my favorite Ozzy guitarist

  • Jake was Ozzy`s most under rated guitarist. I saw him playing with Ozzy on tour and enjoyed him greatly. He`s the equal of Randy and certainly more enjoyable than other Ozzy guitarists who shalll be nameless.

  • Gus G should bring a flame back to OZZY!

  • @larkin38 yea that's why the world considers Randy a nobody and Jake the greatest (please!). I love Jake too and his technique (although different then Randy) may be spot on 24/7...Randy helped create the modern metal sound (with Ozzy's vision) that even Jake must tip his hat too!

I know 101 kids these days that can play Hendrix better then Jimi could half the time...but it doesn't make them the greatest!

  • @rsfeller ozzys vision my ass he didnt even right the lyrics

  • @RRMI6ironmaiden so you would argue that Ozzy didn't put that band together and have a vision for what would become the next wave in popular metal?

  • @rsfeller he didnt his manager did read his biography I am Ozzy Osbourne

he never found Randy Zakk nor Jake

they did the writing along with bob daisely Ozzy just sang

Randy made Ozzy not the other way around

Randy wouldve written all those songs without Ozzy

and if he wasnt with Ozzy mayb he wouldv been more famous

  • @RRMI6ironmaiden I think you are assuming to much...he did audition Randy and he liked what he heard...so that is called a "vision". As far as Randy being more famous w/o Ozzy I think that is assuming to much too because timing and opportunity is half the battle. Amazing talent doesn't always rise tot he top on it's own other wise the crappy QR1 and QR2 albums would have done better in the U.S.

You act as if Ozzy had no bearing in his past, present or future or impact on the art he created.

  • @rsfeller he really didnt have any bearing his career was lost win he was kicked outta sabbath a manager found him and asked him to sign on his label randy was in quiet riot at the time and wouldve used the licks he wrote in blizz and diary with them or some other band i know a few of the songs on those albums he had written before he joined ozzy

  • @RRMI6ironmaiden IDIOT!

  • LOL you guys are idiots there are no solo's in this version this is the way it sounds before they overdub Jake's solo's over his Rythm guitar never been a fan of only one guitar player myself

  • @RESTLESS7 make that SOLOS!

the buildup to the first one with the palm muting and pinch harmonics is amazing as well

  • I actually prefer this version to the finished one with the guitar solo. The keyboards sound amazing in this track. No one makes kick ass music like this anymore. What a shame really.

  • This is awesome - such an insight into the construction process of a classic, hi-rise song! Thanks for posting ...

  • This is one of my favorite guitar solo's of all time. I know what you mean by "BAH".

  • Comment removed

  • @Helicon2112 nope... it does not sound like the studio version because it does not have guitar solo

  • Comment removed

  • @Helicon2112 This is 'the studio recording' but a rough mix with no guitar solos. It's the same vocals that went on the album (without a few effects) , that's why it sounds so close to the record itself.

  • @Helicon2112 that's because this is the album version, only no guitar solo and not a finished mix.

  • @Helicon2112 yea i agree too man. they went back and added the chorus sound to the whole song

  • god if only master randy would have played on this ithink randy was going to do one more album with oz before his untimely death .iread this in rudy sarzos book.

  • Actually Randy if he lived could not have played on this song, because the main riff etc was stuff Jake was working on when he left his previous band. Though he did mention that he put faster picking in between the chords in honor of Randy's signature riffing style (I Don't Know and Crazy Train for example)

  • listen in awe??ahhh yes jake jamms!@!

  • Really wonderful this demo !!!

It' s very strange to hear this song without the solo guitar !!!

  • Jakes playin blows Zakks outa the water hands down.

  • you hit the nail on the head.. Jake's rhythm playing is really outstanding. HE rules!!

  • Zakk Wylde blows. All he does is the same tired riff in drop D with some form of sporadic pinch harmonic, with some solo that physically abuses his wah pedal. It gets old after a while.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh while I agree to certain extent (his playing is getting stale by the day lol), he used to be pretty awesome! His stuff on first two albums he did with Ozzy are really different from any other Ozzy guitarists. No more tears solo is amazing too. I guess he stopped practicing after a few years haha

  • Does anyone agree with me that the Bass guitar... just sounds epic?

*I'm a guitar player myself, and I've noticed Jake's amazing talent, but just listen to that bass-line!*

  • Yes, I agree. The bass line is perfectly constructed. Is it Bob Daisley?

  • It is Bob Daisley.

  • Satanism is the belief that you are your own god and there is no after life and so on and so forth...NOT DEVIL WORSHIP, if you want to know more just ask. BTW OZZY RULES

  • i don't think this is a demo. i think it's what they had of the actual tracks that ended up on the album, just unfinished and un mixed or mastered. the guitar solos are obviously missing as well a few spots ended up different. that's my thougths at least as a recording engineer myself.

  • @caseyforever it's in a different tuning compared to the recorded version though.. I think it's half-step down or somethin

  • half a step up, actually.

    grts

  • satanism in contradiction is strictly biznez in hard rock/heavy metal:

it ever was & ever will be

by the dictatorship of ye record company !!!

  • Just because someone doesn't believe in God doesn't mean they are automatically a satanist. get your head out of your ass and widen your dog-narrow view of other people.

Religion is man's legal insanity. And You are proof.

  • @YamiKai as if man had only one legal insanity

  • @shinybald36 think about it. Ones like Schizophenia eventually gets you put away in an asylum, something like pyromania will eventually land you in jail, all of the lesser ones get you put on meds. Religion, on the other hand wont get you into any trouble unless you get punched in the face or killed by someone you pissed off by preaching down their throat, because they have different views from you. Religion is insanity approved by the government, its in our pledge and on our money.

  • I really think he is Christian, just an act like most of us are or pretend to be. We would like to think we are closer to God then we really are. I am included. Nothing wrong with loving the Lord and Ozzy, Bad Christian, you think? I hope the Lord does not venge me for liking Ozzy, don't think it'll happen. Loving Lord. He allows me to fuck up and then get right. Ozzy is probably way closer to God then any of us are, think about it.

  • this is RAW and ROCKIN'

this is exactly the kinda music my band makes:

    RIVER COUGAR!

ozzy will always be one of the best

but if you feel adventurous and want to hear new rock music, try River Cougar!

    ROCK ON GOOD PEOPLE!!!!

  • Ha Ha

  • uh did ozzy just say god bless you?

  • Yeah, he does all the time. He says it at every show, actually.

  • In my opinion, when Ozzy says, "God bless you," it's like a pastor/reverend or rabbi showing the "devil horns" salute and saying "rock on!"

  • satanism in contradiction is strictly biznez in hard rock/heavy metal:

it ever was & ever will be

by the dictatorship of ye record company !!!

& of course christianity is a blasphemic hypocracy, so

    FUCK RELIGIONs !!!

do not forget to watch the zeitgeist movie to understand who the fuckin hell invented them all......an atheist !

  • wow, thats cool...no guitar solo!!!

  • Jake is better at riffs than Zakk, and he is smoother

  • You said it! Waaay smoother. This song and album in general still gives me the chills! Waiting for Darkness too! Heck, when I sit down to hear some Jake, you know you're in for some good shit!!

  • Randy wrote this song note jake

  • nah man, u full of shit sorry, no randy died before this album was made. randy wrote diary and blizzard of ozz then died in i think 82.

  • not to doubt you, but wheres your proof??

  • Wiki Bark At The Moon and you'll get the lowdown as to who really wrote the song.

  • @amurgatroyd agreed. zakk would be fucking good if he cut some of the damn distortion lol you kno?

  • bah, jake is 10 times better guitar player than that harmonic shit!

  • I wish Ozzy would bring Jake back for an album.

  • @90462 He's been invited back several times. Jake declined.

  • @bill14231393 I wish he would have accepted it!!!

  • zak is abig man so he s not acting jackass!

  • If they had used a version of this rhythmatic interlude, and put a solo after it, I think this song could have sounded even more spectacular. But at the time, Ozzy was simply following contemperary 'metal genre' convention by placing the solo where it was. Using the solo as a turn-around point to which it could transition back into the main riff, which leads to a last repetition of the chorus, an then the outro.

  • You are the man for posting this.

  • simply kickass.

  • The most beatiful bark at the moon that i have heared ever..

  • this is an awesome solo !

better than the bark at the moon album

  • Are you retarded?

  • Wow, awesome find, I think I speak for alot of guitarist in saying a big thank you!!!

  • great backing track for guitarists

  • aw man no solo... good for some improv though

  • this is probably an demo for the record company executives, distributors, etc etc so that they can be reassured their money invested in the project is well spent in the studio and not just spent on coke and whores.. normal rocknroll thing.

  • Jakes Charvel along with his hands thru thru the Marshall are a signature sound...

  • yea that's if you just want alot of heavy metal noise without much guitar notes,he'd be good with motley

  • I would like Jake Lee to be Amy Lee's Guitarist

  • I think Jake was a good replacement for Randy, jake was the best Guitarist Ozzy Since Randy

  • ...what are you, 12 years old?

  • Zakk WyIde is for nu metal, emo kid, BMX-riding douchebags. Zakk is the only thing on the planet that squeals as much as your mother when I fuck her in the pooper. Speaking of which, I hope your mother finally wises up and gets you that abortion.

  • yeah but atleast i dont go around acting l ike a big tough guy who supposedly does another guys mother so really I cant see how im the douche bag there dipshit

  • Agreed

  • @xxxBMXrider6xxx You're gayer.

  • @frez777 You're gay.
