Maybe on the quarter miles a g35 turbo cant out do a 997 GT3. But on a race track even with a heavy modified turbo g35 th GT3 will be in front, 415 n/a BHP 8000 rpm, 1.02 lateral G's.
A G35 with less money can beat a Porsche around a track easy. 1.02 g's is a great thing but it is very doable with many different cars. Shit for $110,000 it should do 1.3 g's!
At the end of the day..it still a "wannabe" sports car with questionable build quality. The Porsche is a thoroughbred sports car with a pedigree the G35 can only dream of.

The Supra can make a lot of horsepower cheaply due to it being a twin turbo, which is why you hear about it being able to make those big numbers a lot. It IS possible to make a lot of horsepower from a non turbo charged engine, it jsut costs money, the 997 GT3 RSR makes 500+ horsepwoer from a naturally aspirated 3.8L engine and that's with an air flow restrictor on. The Porsche is just as capable of making a lot of horsepower as the Supra.

That thing will run your boy's garbage straight off of the tracks. It's not street legal and its for circuit racing. A GT3 owner doesn't own a GT3 to run lines.
