@Antwon27FTW You can change the cymbal sounds to a bell sound in the module settings, but as the standard cymbals are only one 'zone' the sound is bell or ride (one or the other). You can buy 2-zone cymbals that give both the bell and ride sound. The supplied DTXPLORER module has 3 or 4 different bell sounds.
@Diamondblade2008 u say that the 2 zone can play the bell and ride, but how is that possible if the 2 zone cymbal does not have the bell part on it?? or is there?? sorry about my n00b questions lol
@Antwon27FTW The 2-zone cymbal is in the shape of a real cymbal with the bell and ride part on it. You hit the 'bell' or 'ride' part depending on which sound you want like a real cymbal.
@GasnotCoast Its not that hard to tune the pads and cymbals to suit. Its all clearly laid out in the manual. Just to let you know the hi-hat I am using was a seperate upgrade. The standard hi-hat on the DTXPLORER is just a rubber pad, but it performs great. Good luck with your new purchase! hope you can upload some videos of you playing it!
What's kind of dtxplorer is this?did you add other pads?My hit hat is different, and you don't have a standard set.Did you bought the hit hat and moved the normal pad near toms for use it as ride?..however,you can record it on your computer for a better audio quality!enjoy!
Hi, its just the standard DTXPLORER kit. The snare was upgraded and the old snare moved to the right of the kit for use as a ride (to use both cymbals as crashes)
The hi-hat was upgraded as well, and the old hi-hat pad is just being kept as a spare pad for now (its not in use). I have a digital Dictaphone for recording (it can record in WAV or MP3).
Nice...I changed an user kit using 2 crash and the 2° tom as ride:-)...ok,I use to record join a jack between drums out line and compueter microphone....
Hi , that was ok !see you have upgraded the snare and hi-hat, these kits do sound great, would you recommend the 10" snare pad? i do tend to hit the rim from time to time, keep it up your timing is good.
Thanks! Yea the 10" snare is a worthwhile upgrade as it gives you a larger playing surface and it lets you play rimshots and cross-sticks as well. The rebound on the 10" snare is great as well.
is there a way to get a bell sound on the cymbals?? PLZZ REPLY!!!
