I passed on this game when it came out of beta... Having watched these vids I have to say the game has come a long way... I'm severely tempted to try the 14 day trial ...

Hey I am about half way video 2 more or less, but since I am on trial I decided to jump up to the end of this video and try to get my horse, so gathering for about an hour and a half I got my Steedgrass! Yipee I got my mount! Really sweet! Thanks for the video, it helped alot!

Out of 3000 timber that I would usually get on a no getting pked day, I would lose 1000 or more daily from the same guys coming to kill me. I'd recommend joining a clan if you want to harvest, and harvest around the city or further away. Changing spots can limit your chances of being Pked. But I've had this happend where I've had 330 timber on me at most, then dying. It's annoying, but it's Darkfall. Don't let it get you down. Go to another island and try there. It works.

Or to clear that up I should say Darkfall lies when they say it's a skill based game. Not entirely a lie of course- it is indeed a skill based game.

If you are good at first person shooter types of games and can learn to adapt quickly to controls and learn effective tactics than this is the game for you. It's totally awesome!

It took me months before I knew I would stay.

I rerolled a few months ago and have already caught up to EU vets almost . .. but at least i kill them more often than not.

And NO I have never macroed at all.

the game has changed a LOT since then. 1 month is all you need to be decent now, and macroing doesn't help cause mobs give 6x the skill gain rate.

I play DF since lunch and at the begging things was pretty slow but still it wasnt the right way to take 3d party programs! Now things are alot faster! i began a 2nd char from xmas and it's pretty much ready to do everything!Don;t flame and qq without has a complete opinion!

thing i would add in the next video ....SKINNING ! you need to skin the mobs in order to make hunting more profitable

anyone could go on your mount dont dismount near people you dont know ....how to despawn your mount critical hits and how you know when the next one is a critical hit (the aim turns red if you dont know)
