  • I sure hope that guy got a ticket for driving over the hose ... 200$ ticket from where I come from.....

  • Ventilation should be conducted from highest to lowest point in a structure during an incident. Ensure proper ventilation strategies are conducted while performing such as to not further endanger trapped occupants. Proper ventilation provides longer time frames to conduct a proper primary search and enhance rescue efforts. Ladder every level, perform vertical ventilation and horizontal if necessary. No improvement increase ventilation and add additional lines! Remember we vent heat not smoke!

  • You people have never been in a house fire. What saves more time trying to find out how the window opens in the dark, when it is hot and smoky, or just break them.

  • Being one of the contractors that replaces a lot of these windows I can tell you it's more then a couple bucks for glass, its whole new windows, new trim inside and out. Also I would not say it is quicker you watch how they break the glass and then scrape all the way around to get rid of sharp edges, might be quicker to just lift the window up. Don't get me wrong, I am glad for the work.

  • The damage to the house is reaching into the thousands of dollars....and you're worrying about a couple bucks for some glass???

  • Why do the fireman Always bust the windows instead of opening them?

  • A. It's quicker and B. Would you rather have a house with broken windows and minor fire damage or no house at all?

  • Good job AFD.

  • Wow, bunch of smoke.
