oh wow i am as bllind as you are actually (WAS) i had the laser eye surgery done and let me tell you that it is very worth it The best thing you can invest your money on. I can finally wake up and SEE! and dont have to worry about the conacts which can actually be bad for your cornea overtime and that can really make you blinde

hey, the thing about ur contacts, plz do tak 'em off everyday, n do some wash to it. cuz if u keep wearing them for too long, they might have a chance to stick to ur eyes and barely to tak 'em off, some people even hav to do surgery to tak them off. i mean seriously, try not to scare u, but this might happen, so plz, be aware of it.

I used to leave my daily contact lenses in for too long, like when I woke up until I went to sleep, but I changed optician and the new guy told me that not leaving them out for about three hours a day meant that the blood vessels in my eyes had started to thicken (he could see that they were enlarged!) because they were trying to get more necessary oxygen. It's not so bad if you wear lenses which let a high percentage of oxygen through though :)

As a hard contact lens wearer, I have a difficult time wearing extensive eye make-up. My eyes always get red and I can't wear any mascara, even if they are opthamalogist recommended! Do others have similiar problems and has anyone figured out a way around this problem?

ive been wearing hard contacts for about 10 years now and my eyes are always red as well...like no matter what, they are bloodshot! i do wear eye makeup, but not too much. its hard for me to find good eyeliners that i can wear on my waterline bc they tend to somehow end up on my contacts and they get really blurry! the only ones that don't do that for me are urban decay 24/7 eyeliners and ulta brand ones. as for mascara, it doesn't bother me...i use maybelline colossal mascara.

i was like holly crap..

i was trying to take them out and it was freakin stuck i panicked but i put solution in my eye and it helped it a bit to soften and release from my eye so thank god for that... but next time it might not come off... oh gosh i bet that sucked having an eye infection and having ur contacts in.. blah i would hate it!

I used to not take my contacts out too because I thought it was totally troublesome but then I started to get some problems with it, my contacts did not seem to stay on my eye and my optometrist said that my contacts aren't clean or something so my inner eyelids were growing like little bumps and I couldn't wear contacts for 6 months. Im 22 and been wearing contacts for about 7 years now but I would do the same thing, I wouldnt take them out for the longest time, until my optometrist kinda got mad at me for not doing it he told me I was lucky my eyesight didnt worsen, ever since then ive been taking them out, its hard at first but you have to make it a habbit. The thing that i still do is keep them longer until than I have to, I see my optometrist every year and a half to 2 years, and youre supposed to go every year!

xteener if you can see the board at college then you're not blind as you're only classified blind if even glasses or contact lenses cannot improve your vision to a certain level and yes you should not overwear your contact lenses beyond what your optometrist has advised.

what a load of crock! carrot juice has no associate link with any potential changes in spectacle prescription! yeah it can help in terms of ocular health but believe me it does not improve your prescription.

that's what exactly I thought! But after seeing my friend improved her prescription, the I started to believe that carrot juice can improve ur prescription but it's not easy as u have to drink it daily in A LONG PERIOD OF TIME which is hard coz u have to have the commitment to drink lol
