  • Its pretty funny that hordes of british and canadian troops took a month to capture Caen, considering it was defended by teenaged boys of the 12th SS hitlerjudgend.

  • We always hear about the allies landing at Normandy fighting towards Belgium and Paris, the onto the low lands from Belgium to Holand then into Germany. We hear little if nothing about the area the Russians invaded,we hear the odd bit about Italy and not forgetting the "Battle of the Bulge" in the Ardennes. The south of France towards the end of the war saw allot of fighting too.The Germans had allot of industry supplying them in countries they invaded that we hear nothing about, were they bombed?

  • @silver760 Places like Austria,Luxembourg,Czechoslovakia, the Ukraine and many many more.

  • The narrator calls the town of Caen "Con" Which means like idoit in freench lol

  • Why do these guys use a modern Europe Map in stead of a 1940's one?

  • it's very strange, I don't know why but the narration was all messed up for me and very quite, but when I adjusted my speakers to either left or right speaker only it fixed the problem, it'll like the left and right audio are slightly out of sync in a way were the signal sorta cancels out, anyways maybe you should put up an annotation to help others if they have the same problem

  • Absolutely terrible documentary. They get so much wrong it's unbelievable, I can't even begin. Cromwells armor at 75mm "twice as thick" as the Sherman? The Sherman had BETTER armor as the Cromwell for whatever insane reason decided not to include any slopping. The Shermans effective armor at the front was nearly 140mm. That's one quip out of hundreds. Absolutely awful documentary, how do the Brits get so much wrong about THEIR OWN BATTLE?

  • @SnakeTheFox How many is that 2? 3? thats hardly what i call many misstakes. You are right aboud the tanks but comon if they would make maybe 12-15 thats many but two or three hardly enough to complayn aboud.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot You should work on your English comprehension; as I said, there were tons of mistakes in this documentary, too many to remember them all. Basically every segment had some sort of minor blemish or inaccuracy, some more glaring than others. Documentaries are made to be purely educational, if this was a Hollywood movie I wouldn't care, but if a product is MADE to be educational it shouldn't be littered with errors.

  • SnakeTheFox No offence but when people complain to me aboud my spelling error i think it is just sad. Is my english really that bad that you can't understand it? If a person from Asia speaks very bad icelandic or english i can normally understand that person and i usually don't take my time to complain aboud it and for the record im learning german, french and english at the same time so give me a break. It's not easy trying to speak 4 languages at the same time but you are right aboud the video

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot I'm not talking about your spelling errors, I'm talking about your comprehension of what I am saying. Which oddly is case in point here.

  • @SnakeTheFox I know what your saying and i agree, the video could be fixed just a little bit.

  • Why, oh why do these people use a 1960's Canadian flag for a 1940's Canadian army. It should be the Red Ensign.

  • I'm going to Caen next friday! And will be on omaha beach june 6th to remember all the fallen soldiers who fought for our freedom!

  • First Class - thank you!
