This man is good! If you ever get the chance to listen to the version played by Hugh Farr from the "Sons of the Pioneers",you'll understand, why I "only" say "good"! But-that's only my Opinion.
This man is probably my number one fav of all time. So incredibley versitile in ever style he plays! Im with you Burfordfiddler I really appreciate everthing people post on the greatest fiddler on Earth!!!!!!!!!
This is awesome, now there are many videos of graham on here, about a few months agop there was only one video, I'm so glad you folks are posting these. these people are smiling down from heaven to see us enjoying them as we did back in those days. he was an awesome fiddler and a good friend of ours..thanks for posting.
He was my biggest influence in playing the fiddle. I'll post more videos in the near future. He did 5 concerts in northeast PA in the 80's. We backed him up for each concert. They were great times!
Thanks, you don't know how happy this makes some of us feel, who have known him. Boy, my grandfather sure would have loved to see these videos, he passed on June 1997 and thought the world of Graham. His son, my Uncle, Johnny Givens, was also a very good buddy of grahams and graham would come over to visit many times and he always loved to jam and ham it up as well, very good times always to be cherished.
This tune was written by Curt Massey in 1935. He recorded it with Louise Massey and The Westerners.
