It's not the notes it's the rhythm and the question/answer format these songs are absolute garbage. The melody uses C about 9 times in a row I can't believe you're defending this shit shit music

former music theory major. music therapy was same courses plus others for the therap portion.

and I'm gonna go ahead and defend the songs. It is definately music. Just because it's not on the same level as Liszt doesn't make it crap. Music can't be viewed only from a theory viewpoint. It's how it pleases the ear and affects the mind too. That's why i started studying music therapy. A lot of theory, but equally important is how it affects the brain

It's not all about theory but how it affects the brain and the body. If it was all about theory we'd be jamming to Liszt or to a crap ton of jazz in clubs. Jazz does not affect the brain the way pop and rock do. Pop and rock are simple musically. I don't listen to jazz to jam out. jazz is pure theory and that's why it's so beautiful.
