  • sophomore in college haha

  • I'm a sophomore and this still helped me, thank you! lol :)

  • hahahah all time low.

  • like a fucking all time low lyric

  • Also, high school is free. That's the main difference.

  • In a lot of upper-level classes you need to show up. But yeah, generally not those big classes. Some professors don't add anything to the class though. -.-

  • HAhaha. "Well, C looks like a good option!" - me..

  • I love the song, BTW. Kate Nash = amazing. :)

  • haha your awesome. i love your personality

  • You are a very pretty girl Chris is very lucky.

  • You do remind me of Jenna Marbles!!! Plus, I'm a senior and these videos are really helpful

  • Well C looks like a good option? XD hahhaha luv <3

  • What college did yu attend? ahaha yu seem like a rellay cool chickadee :)

  • School, College, University are pretty light compared to an average work day, so get used to working hard. You cant skip work, so dont skip any classes.

I agree your education directly equals your possible work income.

  • I find you really encouraging and I'm more excited now about starting this week :)

  • So, I'm only a junior watching all these, and you don't even know how much these are helping me get a perspective on collage, and what I want to do in highschool now to prepare for it. xx

  • You remind me of Jenna Marbles!

  • where do you go to school

  • @redwhitelights I wouldn't recommend commuting. I commuted all 4 years of college and didn't make a single friend. I joined clubs and was in choir but I feel like everyone makes their friends in orientation, dorms, and through other people.

  • So I am going into my freshman year at college this fall and I'm commuting to school since it's not far enough to live there. Pretty much everyone I know is going to live in residence and I feel like since I'm not living there, I'll have an even harder time with social stuff like friends, etc. Do you have any advice??

  • how do you get graded? Like, do you get a report or something?

  • What school do you go to?

  • When do you have to leave ur dorm? Like when do they kick u out of ur dorm? I heard they kick u out during the holidays. Is that true?

  • was it hard to pay attention in class? I've heard of those extremely boring lectures that no one pays attention to.... And did you take notes in all of your classes?

  • What all should you bring on your first day of class?

  • Don't ever buy books from your school store, especially if you're going to a large university. If you professor wrote their own book and it's your only option, obviously get it. If you don't think you'll need the book to help with your other classes or majors (i.e. books for gen. ed classes) go on a site like Chegg.com and just rent the book for the semester, it's so much easier. I only kept 2 books from my classes because they'll help with my major but every other book isn't that useful later.

  • i'm obsessed with these videeeeooos

  • could you talk more about workload?

  • welp, C looks like a good option!

    story of my life.

  • any tips on note-taking?

  • How does the internet access work? Like is it available all the time, during certain time, in certain areas, in your dorm?

  • "cuz you dont want to be a random face in a crowded romm.....that was like a fucking all time low lyric or some shit..." haha

  • @TheVoldemort32 chegg

  • are there "cliques" in college, or will you kind of just fit in and be accepted? do girls tend to be catty or is that just in sororities? (which I don't wanna join)

  • @beatlesfanx82

The only "cliques" tend to be the sororities. Honestly, there aren't many cliques in college especially among freshmen because everyone is trying to make friends and most people are more open then they usually would be. You'll probably make friends with girls you wouldn't have in high school.

  • what did your schedule look like your first semester? like...how many classes each day and how far apart were they?

  • Can u do those kind of series for highschool ? im already in 10th grade but it think it would be interesting what your tips are :)

  • I love how it is completely opposite in Australia. Our most imporant year is year 12 in High School and then your grades in University don't matter at all as long as you pass!

  • "It's gonna be the most sketchy video ever" oh my gosh I can't wait hahaha.

  • KATE NASH FTW <3

  • I was a lazy AP student I guess you could say, I'd have all honour/AP classes and would procrastinate terribly and never study, but I would get all As and ranked really high in my class. I'm afraid college classes are gonna be a million times harder tho, so instead of As not trying hard I'll be getting Cs or w/e. e.e Procrastination will be the death of me.

  • Okay, I do theater and debate as hobbie type things, should I pursue those?

  • These videos are awesome! im going off to college and these videos are helping alot! thanks!!

  • not trying to be bitchy or anything, i just truly don't understand. well, i'm in highschool and i always thought that highschool is the time to really try hard. that decides where you go to college. and i thought in college you could kinda slack off. because i thought that work places just look to see if you have a degree and where it's from. so does it really matter if you get 70s and stuff in college? i just thought as long as you pass it's ok. i don't know...can you explain it to me?

  • @coolygiuly well, im not completely sure, but i think u are mostly right. As long as you pass and get your degree, you'll be able to find a job, but if you slacked of and didnt actually learn the stuff u should know how to do, you might not get promoted or even get a job. Hard workers are more likely to get more money, right?

  • How far should you space your classes out? I have a couple that are only 10 minutes apart and I don't know how that is going to work out.

  • i ADORE THESE <3

  • "well a C sounds like a good option!" ........story of my life

  • You're easy to listen to. Its not like I'm talking to a parent or teacher. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO EASY TO RELATE TO. One more year of high school and I'm off to University or College!

  • ooooh im so excited for the social life video :D

  • 'you don't want to be just a random face in a crowded room' -that was like a fucking All Time Low lyric or something.

    hahaha you are actually hilarious

  • how long do you stay at college & home? do you ever get homesick? and what if you leave near the college, you can just stay home right?

  • thank you so much for this! I'm literally leaving for college in 1 month and as much as I say I'm excited...I'm pretty fucking nervous.

  • i'm enjoying this series! although it makes me really nervous and scared for it

  • "Because you don't want to be a random face in a crowded room. That was like a fuckin all time low lyric or some shit." lmfao

  • 100% true! I'm going into my second year of college now too (community college though) but this is so true about classes. studying is a must to pass!

  • whats your favorite and least favorite part of being and english major ... ?

  • I'm only going into my Junior year, but this is making me so excited about college!

  • About textbooks, CHEGG.COM. Holy crap, I'm not in college yet, but my sister is. She's a bio/ed dual major, so her books are CRAZY expensive. With chegg, you rent the books, then send them back at the end of your semester, year, whatever. She saved an insane amount of money by doing that. Plus, they plant a tree for every rental or every book, something like that.

  • I love this series, thanks so much its making me more excited to start :)

  • thanks for the college tips i loveeee this!!!! i start in august ohhh boy

  • So I just finished my junior year and I'm going to need to write my application essay soon, and I have absolutely no idea what to do. Any advice on that?

  • EVERYONE IGNORE THE TYPO I MEANT "FRESHMEN" SHUT UP FUCK YOU ALL

  • when you were talking about what high school was like all i was thinking was "clearly you did not go to a private school" or at least not one as strict as mine. it is impossible to skip at my school, like they will call your parents and ask where you are. also our work load is fucking ridiculous. in english, 2 weeks before exams started, she assigned 2 essays. i wanted to kill her. i'm excited for uni but kind of scared too, these videos are helping me :) even though i'm only in grade 12.

  • How do you deal with being sick at college? Any tips for getting better quickly?

  • @xXEllez

ooh that's a really good question. I'll definitely put this in my q&a

  • Love this! Thank you so much for this series rachel! It really helps me out and I'm sure it's helping others. Plus you're freakin adorable and funny as always :D

  • I'm only a senior in high school, but I love these videos. It makes me excited for college and it makes me want to go to college so much more. It's going to feel like college > high school!

  • how long are classes?

  • @sunlovingbeauty It depends on the school and the class. At my school and hers, most classes are 1 hour & 15 min. or 1 hour & 30. As a freshman next year though, my school has me taking one 6-hour-long class. This isn't normal at all, but there can be some long ass classes at some places.

  • haha im a sophomore in highschool but i still love watching these :)

  • As far as the whole missing class thing, if you're sick or something legit, should you email your professor ahead of time just to let them know, or is that pointless? My school isn't big so they may notice.

  • Review immediately after your classes or right at the end of your day before you begin whatever the heck you want to do at night. Study a little bit every day. DO NOT STUDY for an exam REVIEW for an exam!!!!!

  • FREAKING FINALLY. Not one of my favorite youtube people have uploaded today and I've been dying since todays been quite lame, idfk. thank you for this even though I'm no where near college, ok yeah... :D

  • god thanks for this rachel! i actually feel ready to leave home haha <3
