i actually live in Korea, and to do a good XC flight here you need to really check you stuff, make sure the gas tank is sealed tight, full tank of gas, extra coats, battery heated gloves, and you have to set a couse on google maps, and have a copy on your flight deck, and for food bring nuts and beef jerky (it has protein and keeps you full, better than pizza) but you need extra water, next year im going to try an XC, but ill use the reflex on my glider, it helps fuel consumption.
hey my el paso amigo......ill be in EP this thrs thru Sun for thx giving....lets fly fri afternoon w/ the belkin bros if the weather is good...its gonna be cold in the am's so no morning flights for me right now.....,,,
That was to coo!!!!!!. you did 93 miles, how long was the trip going to be if you made it all the way. can you put some pic. of you motor set up next time.
I know the video was a little long, but it was a long adventure!! The trip was going to be 280km!! I could have easily made it on a normal day, however THIS day the freakin wind decided to shift a quarter of the way through and started coming from the direction I was going... which is crazy because the wind almost ALWAYS comes from the west, north west here in Korea... My frame comes with two tanks... one is 11 liters in the frame and an aux tank under the engine with 12 liters... Thanks Wil!

Great job! Nice documentary.
That's always my fear on a cross-country: landing out in the middle of nowhere.
But, hey, that's part of the adventure.
P.S. next time I talk to the camera in the air I'm going to tape some foam over the mic holes. I bet that will help.

Pretty cool cross country..Glad you are OK after that landing....How does your Thor work for you?...Is it as good as they say it is going to be?
I haven't tried any cross country trips...Are you going to do it again?....Maybe a buddy or two would be more fun
