  • ugh, what a stale tempo

  • You maybe say its horrible.

    But TF2 heavy likes this!

    TAKE THAT!UN THIS!UN DAT!BOOM!!!

  • tempo sightly too quick!

  • horrible?!horrible your face!

  • daaaaaaa daaaaaaaaaa duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu deeeeeeeeeeeeeee daaa daaaaaaaa rrreeeeeeeeeee re re it's been so long i've been out of my body with you xD

  • Está buenísmo el pianista c:

  • The march of death, and the people die from famin and WAR, and the Crows of politics prey on the bodies of the victims of their crimes of WAR & lies. May God save us from the Sharks of life, and the parasites of the world.

  • Bland & boring would be the best way to describe this piece... He fails to create the imposing monumentality and grief of this Funereal March... At last, there are not techno beats & violins here (yet), which seems like a Divine intervention ;)

  • Like Me If TF2wiki Brought You Here

  • Rubbish~~~play sucks

  • how young was this kid when he played this??? its absolutely amazing!!!

  • @deathnote72able he's not a kid, he was maybe 25-30 yo..

  • depressing.

  • Beautifully played, really enjoyed that... Thank you

  • Beautiful, really enjoyed that... Thank you

  • Beautifly done....

  • it is not song-Sonata

  • Heavy: Da da da da Da da da da da da DA

  • Horrible

  • its not horrible, its just not your taste in music. i actually like it

  • Well done, sir.

  • looks like an emo he might also listen to it every day while crying and despearing :'((

FUCK THAT SHIT LIFE IS SHORT

    JUST SMILE YOU MOTHEFUCKER!!!!!

  • @Athenian22 HEY ! you should be informed before saying shit :

    1. he's not emo, im emo i know how an emo looks like. And an emo is not always sad and desperate : we laugh, we cry like anyone else, we are human.

    2. we all know life is short, but how can you be sure he doesnt smile in everyday's life ?

To play well a music, you dont have to only put your fingers on the keys but to live the music, if you play mario theme, you'll be happy, if you play this one you won't be.

  • @Athenian22 buddy he's playing a requiem , a funeral march. thus the mood suits the song. stupid idiot. learn !

  • @kreol001 Listen to Rachmaninoff and Horowitz play this! The piece is for solo-piano, not this garbage! Learn and broaden your horizons :-)

  • @Bret6464 in response to what was your comment? cannot see the relationship.........

  • @kreol001 After the first few measures I couldn't listen to this, hit the pause and assumed the strings and bongos and dancing ladies will be jumping in, mea culpa :-) The guy does a hatchet job on one of the greatest pieces of piano music ever written!

  • why was it cut off? D:

  • @jeffryder9 Couldn't listen to any more of this, as bad as it can be played. XD

  • SOOO MUUUUCH BLOOOOOD

  • You Are Ded! ... Not big surprise

  • This is one very talented individual. Nearly perfect technical execution. This isn't a good piece for interpretation. It was intended to be played in a somber, measured way. I'd love to hear someone techno this piece. Might do it myself.

  • Dope as F#€k! I respect the musician who puts his own interpretation(flava) on the timeless classics that all humanity should be allowed to hear. k U D O S

  • Ugh, sounds like a stroll through a park. Very paced.

Not a fan of this version.

  • COME SING WITH ME

  • @Soulfree2008 you are seriously weird

  • @Soulfree2008 well it did not show as a reply and now that you have deleted your comment i don't even remember what it said

  • @Soulfree2008 the guy playing is not chinese and neither is the place he is playing at.

  • This is the march towards WW3, I hope the Politicans are listening. How many will die in the coming WW3, none of these cowards. They only orcharstrate the wars none fight in them.

  • @maria610421 Eisenhower was a general, McCain was a Navy Pilot and a Vietnam POW. They're not all pussies who hide behind a military wall.

On topic, I like this version, and his interesting choice of appearance.

  • @WeAreSentineL: Like this tune, its funny I have not listened to it for a while, I play Exodus all the time, its so lovely. The Armed forces are a bunch of braindead, pansies, following the orders of a bunch of jerks.

  • @maria610421 Braindead? Maybe a small minority of the enlisted people. Officers need some filling in their head to get to where they are. But pansies? They willingly die so you can have the right to say those words. Many people around the world don't have that right. And the bunch of jerks had to fight before they became said jerks.

  • @WeAreSentineL : Many of these men are coming back from war and they are killing themselves because they can't live with what they are doing. I understand your feeling, you're sensitive to my remarks, but why I said that goes deep, you see I am sensitive too, to massacres I see going on, I object to people being blown up, bombed because some one else want their land. I am sensitive to the death and suffering. Why follow orders like the people in Hitlers time, I am sorry if I offended you.

  • Awesome, I really like this one ;] enjoy listening.

  • toca bem alem de ser bonito uhauhauahuahua

  • I can't possibly get over his inappropriate attire on a concert stage - utter disrespect to the people who have bought tickets for the concert. Very idiotic attitude

  • @concertmaster2 - Maksim's attire is a statement. You do not have to be a uppity high class snob wearing a tux. He is trying to bring the most beautiful pieces of music known to man down to the level of the common man - to the youth of Earth. He is showing by his dress that anyone and everyone can appreciate this music.

It is not a sign of disrespect as much as trying to open up people that would normally ignore the classics. Besides, I think he looks rather sexy (and I am 58 tomorrow)

  • @concertmaster2 Well, I'll have to agree with you, like.. He could have dressed up properly! But anyway, this play is amazing an this guy is very talented, cause this is a very hard piece..

  • i shouldve played this when my hamster died thanks for uploading this vid it brings back alot of memorys of my hamster :'(

  • Dah dah da-da dah da-da Come sing with me!! Dah da-da

  • Maxsim, you stupid fuck. Its a funeral MARCH. This sounds more like a walking pace or something >.o

  • Comment removed

  • Not all of us are narrow minded Fools. :)

  • @timeparadox Well, Sorry if I offended you, but you should realize that we have a bad reputation among the world. I spoke with some Hungarians, and they are pissed at America.

  • @cslewis623 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! You HAVE to realise that sentence is a COMPLETE contradiction. You're joking, right? Sarcasm? God, I hope so. 'so many people are racist' + 'america has a...narrow minded brain'. ALL of america? EVERY one of them? You racist idiot. You're racist and you don't even know it!

    PS - i'm not American.

  • @AcheronsLight Look, did i say ALL of America? I have friends who aren't racist at all! I don't even believe that racism should even exist! I was just commenting that you need to leave the kid alone. And I have the right to voice my opinions.

  • as much as I can't stand maksim this is not bad.

  • très belle interprétation, pleine démotion....comme j'envie tous ces gens qui jouent du piano et particulièrement du chopin....

  • this song sound grim like a funeral song, but later on it has this small up beat part that give you a feeling of nostaglia, rebirth, or a better future.

  • beautiful composition, but of all the romantic musical catalogue a terrible choice for a concert piece imo

  • so thats where this song came from. I didnt know Chopin composed it, i always heard it in cartoons and some other movies.

  • 1:23 most beautiful part of the whole march

that's a really great pianist, beauty and competence rolled into one :)

  • This song was not Known as a death song until it was played at Chopins funeral, also played at his funeral was Mozarts Requiem.

  • @AaronMcGeorge But Mozart died before finishing his Requiem. How was it played if it wasn't finished yet?

  • @ouiebeib go on line read about the history of the song.

  • @AaronMcGeorge I just thought you could give me a good answer... thank you, anyway.

  • @ouiebeib If you can trust the answers the internet gives then that should be good enough, as i was not present at his funeral, I go by information that is collected from various sites.

  • @AaronMcGeorge That's why I don't trust the information taken from the internet, you see, there's a contradition between your information and mine. In other words, I was just too lazy to search for this kind of thing. One day I'll search for it, and then I tell you who's right so we can do a cake to celebrate our musical knowledge

  • @ouiebeib I do belive one thing we do both agree on is this a beautiful piece of music.

  • @AaronMcGeorge Oh yes, you're are totally right about that!

  • THE PIANIST IS A SPY

  • Any advice for my Nocturne? It's the only video I have up.

  • I wish people would give this song another listen and not just recognize it as the creepy death song. this song is calming and wrtten by a great composer.

  • @oliveberry13 it is a creepy death song

  • @101Nissan why can't it be more then that!?!

  • I AM CREDIT TO PIANISTS :D

  • @SublimeLouDog: So you're hypothetically comparing your ability to someone else . . . and instantly come to the conclusion that you're better? Why don't you prove it? Put up a video . . . I think a little humiliation will cure the condition that causes your whole "angsty little prick" vibe.

Personally, I'm rooting for the guy with the $12 keyboard ... oh .. one thing, if he measures prices in Rubles ... you're screwed.

  • I don't understand why some of you people think you have to dress a certain way in order to play a piece of classical music. Your snobbery astounds me. If you can't play well it it doesn't matter how you dress. You could be dressed in a tuxedo and lapels and still sound shit.

I've seen people on Venice Beach dressed in rags playing magnificent pieces.

  • @urbanr0cker - Well said

  • v(0 )/ Mwha Ha Haaaa!!! (evil)

  • DO DO DO DO, DO DO DO, DO DO, DO DO!

  • I am in love lol that was beautiful

  • CHOPIN IS CREDIT TO TEAM

  • I <3 this piece.. MUAHAHAHA...!!!!!

  • CUM SING WITH ME!

  • this song gives me shivers.... It makes me feel like killing somebody... I love that kind of music

  • alot of chopins music is about conveying feeling.... this kid does this well with this piece...very nice

  • Hey man, why don't you play in my funeral so that I can go happy.

    I love you guy......

  • In Poland we know this march so well, The President is dead and his wife, hundred funerals and this march, it;s so depressing but true, we all thinking about life and death,

  • We must push little cart!

  • The pianist looks like L from Deathnote. XD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Theoppositesex you dishonour L ~!!!

  • enter to my channel n listen the electronic version of this beautiful piece of art !!

  • fuck electronic versions....

dont ruin this beautiful piece with your piece of shit little 12 dollar keyboard

  • i have a 12 dollar keyboard but u couldnt do what i do with a million dollar equipment u stupid fuck, if u dont like electronic versions, dont listen to mine n thats it.

  • yeah actually i can !! hahaha

ohhhh the little kid is Annoyed haha

n he is so cool being sarcastic, i bet mommy n daddy are proud of u hahaha

    keep talking kid !!

  • @kTpReCoRdS i'm not annoyed at all.

  • @kTpReCoRdS just laughing at your ignorance

  • @sublimeloudog86

Music is music: it's what we, ourselves, make it out to be; in whatever way we want. You're elitist views are completely out of hand with that of music/art. It is awful to think that people like you exist as fans of this music with the tenacity to speak as you do.

  • @DrOli just shut the fuck up I wasn't even speaking to you

  • @sublimeloudog86

This is a public forum; if I feel you are besmirching and dishonoring the process of art then I will intervene with my opinion.

  • @DrOli no, what you're really trying to do is argue with me.

  • @sublimeloudog86 Well I'd be a hypocrite to disagree with said statement. However, I also feel like putting a egotistical, obnoxious, and downright loath-able eighteen year old boy in his place by showing him how he is wrong; and hopefully picking away at his immature temper simultaneously.

  • @DrOli I don't have time for this nonsense, personally. now get off my case and go argue with someone else that has the time to waste on a pathetic lowlife like yourself.

  • @sublimeloudog86

Well you keep commenting back, so I think I shall continue, and if I am correct; which I am, it was you that struck at kTpReCoRdS for no reason. Hypocrisy is rife with you.

  • Maksim is awesome. Including the way he dresses. There's nothing wrong or wierd about it. And he plays this superbly.

  • Good, but I don't like his dress code. Way to informal for classical music.

  • scary.

  • He's good but it seems to me he breaks the songs into little pieces...take a look at the black and white performance of the song...that one is much more fluent

  • man i agree with you! i stood up for him on his revolutionary etude video, and i got a slaggin. however i still stand beside my point. hes a really talented guy! and hes got style=]

  • reminds me of the troubles in northern ireland=[

  • CRY SOME MORE

  • @TorSmawbs Why not push little cart!

  • @TorSmawbs

    RUN, COWAAARD

  • @TorSmawbs oh that slaps me on the knee

  • You'd think a guy with an ego as huge as Maksim would be an amazing pianist... not the case though.

  • He's very handsome though and he has a name that the plebs can easily remember.

  • Seriously, what a bunch of pompous idiots the internet bears.

  • @jscognamiglio i think it has something to do with anonymity..

  • Hey guys, sorry to disappoint.

This was the just the rehearsal, the free thursday morning show, prior to the show proper. Afterwards he put his suit on and did it all for real, bow tie and all!!

  • @waywardheywood That's a nice story, but why is the entire orchestra in full formal concert dress, then? For fun?

  • I'd never heard of this guy until about an hour ago looking for Lizst HR 2. I'm sure someone else has compared his general look (and single-namedness) to Liberace.

What he looks like isn't really relevant--I love a performer in something other than black-tie (it makes the stuff at least look more inviting). The question is whether he is good. He does this ok, but it is dramatic enough without all the extra drama he creates with some strange tempo choices.

  • Dressing formally doesn't neccesarily make you a snob. That's just 1 piece of a puzzle. Now if you dress formally, look down on lower level musicians, and have an arrogant attitude THEN you may be a snob.

  • Ladies and gentleman, The Undertaker!!!!!!

  • I rather like how he is dressed...it cuts the snobs out of the equation for a start and includes the music lovers, not the REAL posers.Whos with me?

  • I'm totally with you.

  • @sutphoe

    I'm with ya dood

  • I think that's an ignorant remark. how is dressing formally being "Snobbish"?

  • It implies that the fashion outshines the music.

  • It's simply dressing nicely for the sake of looking presentable. who's to say that because any other musician there is a snob simply because they chose to where their best clothing?

  • But what's more important; the clothes or the music? If he was sitting there in formal attire or butt nekkid, would the music sound any different?? Just saying.

  • And I'm just saying, simply because he isn't in hest best clothing how does that make him care for the music anymore than everyone else there?

  • Well it's a holdover from the way classical music used to be presented and performed, for the bourgeois and often at the expense of the regular people.

I think performing in regular attire makes a social statement.

  • How can it make any type of statement if the very people he's performing for are said "bourgeois"?

  • I'm watching it, and I'm not bourgeois.

  • I mean the concert goers, how could he hope to make a statement to them when they were all what the statement was against ?

  • That's the point.

Protesters usually protest, if they're smart, in the vicinity of those or that which they are protesting.

  • Well, before delving any further into this argument I'm just gonna go ahead and say I disagree with you in that his not wearing formal clothing had no social statement behind it, in my opinion.

  • "Pray for the dead, and the Dead will pray for you"

  • He plays it to fast

  • Once more Maxsim floods the world with intense mediocrity in his playing and a modern dress sense.

  • I think it would be funny if people started clapping when they realize what he's playing, like people do with rock or jazz concerts. But, they're all applauding a funeral march....

  • shame. fuckin poser

  • nice quality....

  • Ah what a magnifisent song, so peaceful and calming. :)

  • shut up he's great . he is real artrist and musician

  • What a dull performance...

  • Yeah where's the party atmosphere one would usually attribute to.... funerals...?

  • @weetabixharry

    @weetabixharry

Search the youtube video titled "Frédéric Chopin - Marche Funèbre - Funeral March" and compare the performances and you'll understand what I meant. Maksim's performance (not his body performance but the sound of his performance) is mechanical and soul-less, while Arturo B. Michelangeli's carries the emotions and dramatic power of the composition.

  • best comment of this video so far

  • Yes I do agree entirely. Maksim's performance certainly doesn't fill me with inspiration either. I was just being a facetious sod.

  • Interesting look, but I loved the music. Very nice.

  • doesn't care about the presentation? he is different not disrespectful. for god sake, dior was his sponsor, the man's got style, and all in all, it's not about the clothes, it's about the music.

  • His casual dress speaks of disrespect. He slights the audience by seeming to not care about the presentation. And I agree about the lack of dynamics, he could have brought a lot more life and death into the piece through them but he let it turn stagnate.

  • Yay for grade A pretentious freeze dried bullshit. As far as I can tell, the guy's a good player. Who cares what he wears? Does being ridiculously verbose make you feel intelligent or something? "speaks of disrespect?" Seriously?

  • @incenderarysaint I think his dress makes the music speak more because it doesn't feel as formal and stilted--it sort of seems more intimate because he's wearing normal "everyday" clothes.

  • it's feakin funeral march that's why it's slow!!!

    he is amazeing... :)))

  • that was gorgeous! ^_^

    wow...I love how he's dressed casual...mmmmmm! lol

  • He could have done much more with the dynamics. This definitely isn't my favorite interpretation of this piece.

  • its not fast at all......... ?????????

have u ever listened at it before? lol, he plays like the others....

i think nobody likes this guy cause of its look, and its a shame.....

  • He's soooo tall!

  • why is he looking down like a zombie

  • It is too fast

  • this is good music

  • Slow it down a bit.

  • time waits for no one!

  • i know how to play this piece myself and he does it very beautifully indeed

  • Sor-ry for having an opinion. I happen to love visual beauty almost as much as I love music. And, I give a damn, just to answer your question; that should have been a given, since I DID bother to post it. This is a lovely piece, and I find the somewhat abstract flow he gives it rather refreshing.
