  • Thanks & i'm glad it brought back some good memories for you as well.

The "Cows on Parade" exhibition sounds intriquing. What was that all about? :)

  • Thanks for the info, that sounded like great fun. We did see a model grazing sheep near to the Bean. Maybe that was a left over? :)

  • Beautiful photos Andy. Seems there's a lot to see in Chicago. Thanks, Grams

  • Thanks. There is plenty to see & i think we only scratched the surface this time around :)

  • So next time then? ;)

  • Let's hope there is a next time :)

  • The architecture and sculptures are brilliant! And you guys awesome! Love photo videos, thanks for sharing those! Hugs!

  • That's what i've come to like about some big cities. The architecture & the modern artworks. Being bold is good.

I really enjoyed your NYC photo video as well. They are a great way for others to appreciate a city :)

  • Great job putting this together Andy. That Hancock Tower sure brings back a lot of memories for me and the first Mideast meetup. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Thanks Danny. It's a great city for a meet-up. Lot's to do & lot's of sights to see. I'd love to go there again someday.

I'm glad it brought back some good memories :)

  • Quality Pics ★★★★★

  • Thank you sir :)

  • With us all making videos, it has renewed my love of still photography so I was hoping you were going to put some stills up! Chicago looks great:)

  • Funnily enough this has done the same thing for me. Until i went to the USA, i'd more or less stopped taking pics. Then i bought a new camera, partly because of Gary & i really got into it again. As i've said above, we all ended up taking more pics than video.

It does help when you've got great cities like Chicago & Nashville to photo though :)

  • Yes, we reviewed our photos from Poland yesterday and was dismayed to find we only took around 20! Photos are for keeps, next time I will remember that!:)

  • Beautiful pics, and it looks like you all had a fantastic time together. That reflection sphere thingy is awesome!! The architect in Chicago is beautiful. The aerial views were incredible. Don't you love Einstein Bagels?! They rock :)

  • Thanks Beth. It's a great city with some really good architecture. The Bean, or Cloud Gate, is amazing. You just can't stop yourself taking photo's of it, from all different angles.

We didn't actually eat at Einstein Bagels. I just loved the name & took a picture. Is it a chain then? :)

  • It must be a chain. The first and only time I saw them was in Arizona (but my sister said she found them in Vegas as well). I like bagels occasionally and I was blown away at how good they were. I went there every day for a bagel for breakfast after that :)

  • I know for sure there's one in Madison and am pretty sure there's one in Green Bay too. Total chain. Good stuff!

  • BEAUTIFUL! thanks for sharing!

  • My pleasure & i'll admit i am pleased with how they came out. That's the beauty of a digital camera. If you don't like a shot, you can do it all over again :)

  • Love your pics Andy!

  • Thanks Daryl :)

  • great pictures! I really need to start using my camera again :)

  • Thanks. I bought a new digital camera before i went away. That encouraged me to make sure i took plenty of pics. That & the fact that Gary & Mike were taking a lot as well. I ended up using my digital camera more than my video camera :)

  • All I can say is: I hope we get to do another of these roadtrips sometime.

  • Nothing would give me greater pleasure Mike. The more i think about my trip, the better it get's :)

  • wonderful pictures. i'm there right now.

  • I hope you're having a blast!

    :-)

  • Aren't you supposed to be studying? Wait, this is from 11 hours ago. I'll let this one slide.

  • Thanks you lucky thing :)

  • Sigh.

  • oooI saw something shiny *precious*

  • You took the word right out of my mouth.

    My thoughts entirely :)

  • And on a related note, I should be posted the rest of my Chicago pix (with probably a few of yours and Mikes) either tonight or tomorrow night! We won't let this end! :)

  • Although i've seen your pics, i'm looking forward to your video. Hopefully we can hang this out 'till Xmas ;)

I've still got more to upload yet. I've got at least one road trip video & a vlog from Nashville. That should keep me going for a while :)

  • I have at least 1 Nashville video to make and one video with actual pictures from SouthTube! I actually still have my 1/2 marathon video to post as well! So much to edit, so little time! :)

  • LOL I know what you mean, especially as i'm still finding my way around iMovie. I can't decide which video to edit next!

The vlogs seem to have been pushed into the background at the moment. I keep thinking of topics & don't get around to recording them :)

  • Eh--that's okay. The way we both see it, do what you want to do...let it flow, right? I've decided that I wanted to post a couple vlogs (included that YouTube Nostalgia video) even though my ST2 footage wasn't all posted. Who cares? It's our channels! :)

  • Exactly. I can't find my very 1st video, i thought i still had it saved somewhere, but obviously not. I may just vlog about it instead, or post my 2nd ever video, which is actually pretty relevant.

As i'm home early, i'm going to go for a nice run now :)

  • Run Andy run!

You could rip your first video from YouTube? There are a bunch of programs out there that let you rip flash videos from websites like YouTube.

  • Back again. Only did around 4+ miles. I'm feeling stronger all the time, which is good.

Can you recommend a programme for ripping?

  • I use a program called vixy dot n et. You'll need to paste in the web address and then tell it the format you want, which is MOV. Once it saves your video, you can simply drag that movie file into iMovie! If that doesn't work, let me know, I have a few other things I use too.

  • Thanks for the info Gary. Trying it out now :)

  • great pics especially liked the one at 3:58-4:00 the framing was beautiful.

  • Thanks Ran. I must admit to a little bit of cropping here & there. having said that, i'm not sure i edited the pic you mentioned. Both Gary & Mike got some good night pics as well. Maybe you'll see them sometime :)

  • Great pictures, Andy. Thanks for sharing. Loved the pink doughnut. Was it good? - roc

  • Thanks, glad you liked them.

The doughnut came from the breakfast buffet at our hotel. We saw then & thought 'The Simpsons'! So, i had to have one & take a photo of it. As it happens i didn't like it very much & only had one bite out of it.

I don't know how Homer does it :)

  • Isn't that the music from The Princess Bride? Oooh, did Kevin steal it or write it for the movie? lol!

Even the buildings in Chicago are like sculptures! Great Pics.

  • I must admit the music does sound a bit familiar. But i think that's because i might have used it before. I can't say i've ever seen The Princess bride, i'll have to ask my daughter.

Chicago is a very cool place, i'm sure you'd love it there :)

  • yes, Princess Bride music! -roc

  • I love Chicago haven't been there in awhile. Thanks for sharing!:)

  • My pleasure. I hope you get to go back there again soon :)

  • Memories... all alone in the moonlight! Good stuff :)

and wow, some interesting shots there

  • Thanks Steve. Memories are made of this :)
