sorry, at the beginning the loading gun has a welin breechblock, instead all german guns had the sliding breechblock moreover the gunner seems a soviet and not german.
The German military seemed to have a long standing fetish for the use of these enormous guns, but as can be seen from the newsreels, it's questionable if they were really effective. They seem to have had a very low rate of fire, and to have required a lot of men to operate them.
Add the rail-mounted requirement and they seem to become even more questionable.
I wonder if Liszt's descendants were paid royalties for the considerable use that the Germans made in their newsreels of his symphonic poem 'Les Preludes'?
Interesting too that as nationalistic a regime as Nazi Germany should have used music by a Hungarian Composer.
@peepeevagi they were very effective with this guns you can shoot very accurate on long range but it cost a lot of expenditure ,because u need a railroad turnstile and and a rail road
Germany...Why didn't you win...Europe would have been better today...

Oh, yeah. They are the ones who got their asses kicked in that war. Germans just never know when to quit, huh?.

The French version of the Deutsche Wochenschau is very nice. The music by Liszt is also good.

Giant german long range guns.
They may not have been "effective", but sure as hell were scary and cool.

@Molletovcocktail The cons outweigh the benefits. :/
Yeah, it's a powerful punch that's very accurate, but the conditions have to be perfect for it to be of any real use. So it's not all that useful.

@peepeevagi yeah the germans changed an Anti Aircraft gun into the most feared anti tank and infantry gun ever seen in WWII
