To the people saying it was magnets, it was proven that it isn't magnets. I was reading an article about one of these magicians taking the reporter to a fish market, got them to choose a random fish and did exactly the same trick with the random market fish. Nice theory, but unfortunately the mystery is still a mystery. Glad it's not magnets though, that would be terribly cruel.
honestly al these PETA people need to shut the fuck up. There was just a tsunami in japan and everyone is still worried about stupid fish. Shut the fuck up and get a life, and some common sense.
No magnets were used. Do any of you realize that goldfish can be trained? They were trained to swim in a certain pattern, they're jerky movements are explained by them all being so close together, and trying to avoid one another. If they were magnetized, how come that performance wasn't perfect? How come they were still able to move in a fish-like manner? Why didn't they stick together? How did he even GET the magnets inside without killing them? You're all idiots.
They're just goddamn fish, people! They are not conscious and have no relative value compared to a single human being. Humans are dying in the world and people complain because some asshole magician might be putting magnets in stupid little fish? Misplaced conscience is baffling...
Oh no, a Chinese dude put a magnet in a goldfish. Better than a Japanese guy putting a fucking HARPOON in a whale no? Knee jerk reactionist idiots. Either care 100% or not at all, otherwise your half assed morals amount to nothing more than hypocrisy. The "outrage" over this guy is stupid, think how many people go fisihing as a recreational activity. I know I'd rather a fucking magnet in my gut than a hook through my face and then get half drowned.
@youwinoneinternets I agree with the last part where you compare it to fishing, which is indd more cruel and also for entertainment. but disaproving with this means you approve with whales getting harpooned? Comparing it to a larger issue doesn't make the minor issue irrelevant. Why care about harpooning whales when some people dropped a bomb on Hiroshima. To put it in extreme. I have to say the content of this video doesn't feel right, so unnecessary, though compared to fishing its cute. Ethics
@Dodonius Well the main point I was getting at is there are far worse problems in the world than some guy doing a "magic trick" with fish. It's the hypocrisy of it all that grinds my gears. Especially the Chinese, skinning live animals for their pelts yet bemoaning the possibility someone put a magnet in a fish lol. Also what I meant about the harpooning thing
was that if people are going to make a fuss over this, then at least let it be for real moral reasons, not just because its big news
@youwinoneinternets Well there is a larger fuzz about whalefishing so theres a good balance I guess. I don't see greenpeace chasing this magician with their boat. Larger problems start out at small problems like these. People wonder wheres the line. And it's good this gets discussed. That's what ethics is about. If youre allowed to do this, what else can you do that's quite similar or slightly worse. I don't see a large issue here either, especially not compared to fishing.
@isaaculibarri If that 30 second thing is true then why did my goldfish always know that I was going to give them food by moving my hand over the tank of water...?
its called a magic TRICK for a reason. obviously he did something to the goldfish. probably fed it iron or coated the fish with something. how is it cruel? the iron will digest. the coating can wash off. the fish wasn't dragged across the floor or rammed into each other. the magnets acted as a guide gently tug. if it tries to break formation its floating in water so it'll just gently pull it back in. and yes i would swallow iron or coat myself to do the same trick. stop over reacting
Probably is done with magnets - but that's not any more cruel than fishing. In fact - these little tossers get to live a showbiz lifestyle too. I'd eat magnets for the kind of money they're on.
@what77777 Are you stupid? It has nothing to do with the country you retarded moron...as everyone has different views on things. Its obviously my own personal belief on this issue. It seems you are not at a sufficient level of intelligence to understand people comments. Use your idiotic head to think before you reply next time. Period.
@what77777 I wouldnt give a shit if you think less of anything. You are really retarded... my reply was directed at you...why the hell would I reference my own comment? You are a fucking waste of sperms...
@what77777 Sorry, but really you are the idiot here. Speaking on behalf of myself about a specific country doesnt mean everyone else in MY country have the same point of view. Like i said before, you have obviously misunderstood my meaning and even now childishly arguing like an idiot over nothing. Im done talking to you okay? So like just shut up.
guys, chill out. you can actually TRAIN fish to swim in formations. it's difficult but it can be done (in the same way that you can train various animals to perform very complex tricks). i'm not sure about this particular "trick" but i have personally trained a beta fish to swim through a very narrow hoop on command (i.e. tap on the glass) and it only took a few days. seriously, this is just operant conditioning IMHO
Its clearly magnets, the fishes fins dont represent their movement directions or speed, and you can see them stuttering in the way they move, its not smooth and constatant at all.
This is fake, he's a fraud and should have a magnet shoved in him and dragged head first into a the nearest lawnmower blade.
Are those fish even real? The way they are swimming is not natural, i don't know if its magnets that are responsible for the trick, but those fancy goldfish fish are certainly not swimming properly (there is almost no swishing from their tails or wiggling from their bodies as they move quite fast & turn corners etc). A part of me is wondering if the fish are even alive or real '_' .
troll idiots. if they had magnets in them they would be STUCK to the bottom of the tank and drug around and repel or stick to each other whenever they get close to each other. yes it's a trick of some sort.
@slarti78: I'm not saying it is necessarily magnets he is using, but the tank barely has 2inches of water in it so you wouldn't be able to tell if the fishes bellys were stuck to the bottom or not. I don't think the incredibly shallow water is just a coincidence and the fish wouldn't necessarily be repelling or sticking to each other if it was magnets, depending on what position the magnets were in and how close the fish were (the fish are always kept a reasonable distance apart etc).

Animal rights fools care more about animals than they do people. Maybe we should just put them in a pit with their friend, a lion.
OptimusTrajan 1 year ago
@OptimusTrajan OR we should just put the ones who treat animals like crap and that don't care about them in that cage, see how the lions treat you ;)
And people don't care about people anyway, wake up!
ANYWAY, great trick!
