i camp and haul out what i haul in . one of my trips i had to haul out a bunch extra , the mess i found was obsean sierra club flyers every ware it was truley sad . how do sleep at night after leaveing a mess like that .
Ol Earth day was sort of a fizzle this time around. LOL it has always been a joke from the get go...bunch of whack jobs and people wanting to tell other people how to live. pathetic.
I hope everyone will go see Atlas Shrugged, the movie - now in theaters, it's awesome! If you have become aware of the way corrupt people use the power of government to take from some and give to others or to protect their profits by regulating and limiting competition - you will be encouraged by this movie. Everyone, young and old, rich and poor should see this movie.
I used to respect my Father, founder & CEO of the highly successful business I recently inherited. However, looking through the accounts I see that for many years secret payments have been made to a nexus of Illuminati, Reptilians & Bilderberg Group allies intent on fomenting terrorism, war, famine & disease in order to bring about a ‘New World Order’.
I feel disgusted- the wealth I have inherited is tainted with blood & tears of the poor. The Sierra Club sounds part of the same thing to me.
If weasily Sierra Club Fascists want to help the planet, just leave. I'm sure that if all "environmentalists" commited suicide at once, the burden on "Maya" would be significantly greater than lobbying to pass laws that just screw everybody. The Sierra Club is little more than a cult anyway, so you may as well go out like one..
My best friend in High School was killed by a kickback from a chainsaw when he was cutting down a tree on his parents ranch in Idaho...it seems tree-hugging Fascists had "spiked" the tree...the act of driving steel spikes into a tree for the sole purpose of causing kickbacks and killing sawyers. The chain popped off the spocket & ripped his leg open. He bled to death. I'm sure the Sierra Club publicly "condemn" but privately applaud the actions of such "couragous activists." Hero's All.
How pretentious "I like to protect the planet in my spare time" lol This guy thinks hes a superhero and just think how hopeless the penguins and polar bears would be without his efforts. I feel safer already with this guy on Planet Watch dont you.
That's not true, you friggin crack head. All environmentalist dudes sound like homo's. Get used to it. But calling someone a pedophile is pure stupidry. It's not in the dictionary, so don't bother.
lol. Earth day. A pile of dirt and water get's a whole day and I gotta schedule a weekend off 3 months in advance. Nah, I'm just kidding. Good job, buddy. We're gonna go green because that's the cheapest way to go and the geopolitics of oil paint us as stupid for having waited for so long. But I'm sure you guys will take credit for it when we do get there.
@phucyoutoob You could not practice enough sustainable forestry to keep up with the current use and demand for lumber and land. And its not sustainable forestry that they are against anyway, its mostly clear cutting and old growth decimation.
In the US, where trees grow pretty fast, selective cutting and clearcutting IS sustainable and energy efficient. Instead, we import lumber from China (energy costs, anyone?) and British Columbia where it takes longer to grow back. How is that more sustainable?
Old growth gives off WAY more CO2 (decaying organic matter) than younger trees.
@phucyoutoob I was speaking world wide, not simply the demands of a single country. The amount of Co2 emitted by cutting trees (Trucks+machinery.) would dwarf the amount naturally emitted by them if they were left alone.
Except that then, wildfires would run even more rampant than they do (increasing energy costs), fewer younger trees would grow LIMITING carbon sequestration, and we wouldn't have any lumber.
As for clearcutting in developing nations, I think it's very hypocritical for us to tell them not to cut anything when, as we were developing, we wiped out entire forests east of the Mississippi. We could definitely send our foresters there to help them learn form our mistakes.
spent the whole morning outside, with my nephew and my dog. It was quite enjoyable. I taught the little guy all about nature and the thousands of trees my dad has planted haha
The Sierra Club and Earth Day and Global Warming and FRAUDS! The earth is awesome and doesn't need your protection. I'm getting tired of people playing at doing the public good when they are doing anything but.

@nadafinga9 You have to be joking. You see the damage we do and thats with what pitiable laws we have in place to prevent it. Can you imagine if we didn't have even those? We need to protect our Earth more, not less. We are ruining the only home we will ever have for our foreseeable future.
@EmperorofCartoons I don't believe the Sierra Club is at all about their stated purpose. Here's something for you to think about... If a law were passed that outlawed all pollution effective tomorrow, would we wake up the next morning to a world with no pollution? Of course not. But we could with the power of that law dictate people's behavior and collect payment in the form of fines. Just something for you to think about....

Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?
Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO
Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?
Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?
Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?
Remember when the users controlled the site and now corporations?
WE MISS THE OLD YOUTUBE!
Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

The cause is noble but as with any environmental organization they inevitably oppose nuclear although it is the most viable source of energy we have.

The Sierra club is a bunch of city people who don't know anything about real sustainable forestry.
Oh, they'll enjoy their redwood decks and cedar furniture, but god forbid we should cut down a tree!
