Rick Berman trying to cut himself in for a piece of the credit for DS9 is a bit like King George poaching credit for the USA. Around 1776 a British parliamentarian pointed out that the American colonies prospered because of England's "neglect," and that attention from London would suffocate them. That's *exactly* what happened here: Berman completely lost interest in DS9, and it prospered as a result -- while the rest of the franchise (Voy, ENT, and then Nemesis) withered away.
Yes thats exactly encapsulates my feelings about DS9, it IS the most human iteration of the trek franchise the one that is most willing to take chances, show characters that are not perfect the one that reaches into your heart
Ok here's an ultimate idea - it would cost billions but someone should build a theme park with full-scale replicas of both DS9 and Voyager. Both are about the size of a large building. Totally doable.
@ClactonRadio That's a shame. Yeah I know Voyager pilot where Quark tries to sell some stones to Kim. They also mention Dominion once they establish communication with Alpha Quadrant.
Actually, they do at one point. Doctor Zimmerman, the guy who the Doctor on Voyager is based on, comes to ds9 and offers to make an EMH based on doctor Bashir. The episode is called "Doctor Bashir, I presume." :)

ds9 was awesome, I have to admit. I still kinda like Voyager and TNG better, but ds9 was awesome. :)

Speaking of DS9 and Voyager, I've been wondering, do they ever reference Voyager in DS9?

@mkoo
No
But on the first Voyager they do go to DS9.
