That is Martin Smith. He and I were room mates at Juilliard in the mid 1960's. The Conn 8 D is the one I used until I changed to the 103 Alex. Martin died about 4 years ago in Pittsburgh where he had been the Associate Principle Horn for many years>
i think the video is off from the audio, so it only looks like he is breathing at the wrong time.
this is a 1979 recording, and i think the horn soloist is Martin Smith (who filled in right after John Cerminaro left) on a Conn 8D. I'm not positive though.

The audio is correct, but the soloist use the assistent horn to play the E, to do the solo more easier.
