The main reason other media want to keep FOX "news" as a news channel is because the controversy gets ratings, and no one stir up more fake controversy than FOX "news".

The Pew Research Center laid out graphs of negative and positive stories about both McCain and Obama. Fox had equal numbers of each. CNN and MSNBC were vastly more slanted in favor of Obama. The study claimed that "the consensus view in the intelligence community" was that there was no link between Al Qaeda and Iraq, but did not cite a single source to back it up. A letter released to the Senate Intelligence Committee from George Tenet a year before the study came out states just the opposite.

There was a survey comparing Fox viewers to NPR listeners, and it showed Fox viewers much MUCH more likely to get things wrong.

It completely contradicts your ludicrous claim. The authors concluded that Fox viewers were far more misinformed than people who got their news from NPR, CNN, etc.

@agofsky Evolution is implicit in the concepts reproduction, variation and selection, all of which are verifyable. Evolution is true because of the meaning of the words, it's a priori true. The ALL emperical evidence supports it is a bonus, but isn't necessary.
To stop micro becoming macro evolution you need a mechanism, and you don't have one.

I don't know what to think about Obama anymore. Sure made a lot of my friends happy. But so many flaws. But I agree about judging him by his school. Not fair. I went to a school in 3rd grade where 89% of the kids would today have been considered "ghetto" kids. Doesn't mean I am among them.

The point Jon makes is that FOX news is about hype and emotion. It's paranoid and gets an audience by selling a story line. It's a novel to CNN's WSJ news briefs. You can't claim FOX is just a counter-weight to "liberal" media, people just won't take you seriously. I would join you, however, in claiming that MSNBC is a biased response to Fox News.

I say Stewart did do well because all the reviews pointed out that, while both men had good humor, Jon was more successful, especially in the uncut version of making the point I repeated to you.
