Just got some up dates, 28th. Sunshine should play for 7 days, but Jam Factory only one night 28th. Good news is another cinema in Melbourne will play it 7 days, just waiting to confirm name of cinema.
Tickets are now on sale if you would like to pre order your seat. On the event cinema website select the cinema then it shows you the times it plays. Not sure how to get tickets for Sunshine and Jam Factory yet sorry, doesn't come up on the site?
Love The Video, John Wayne Parr looks very approachable, yet kickass... Cool to be seeing another perspective. Very Professional, Looking forward to seeing it. AAA+++++
Will this documentary be available to watch, buy or import into England or just available in Australia? There are plenty of us on this side of the globe that would really want to watch/purchase this. PS: On a completely different note, I would like to see Jordan Watson V JWP. JWP would defo be favourite, but think of the size of the crowd (and prize money) that this would bring in! Both are household names, both fight at 70-72kgs, both have mixed it up with Buakaw.
cant wait for this dvd, jwp is a legend who started at the bottom with nothing, now hes 8xworld champion, what a journey hes been thru, the trailer looks brilliant, cant wait to buy it .
Seeing where Wayne first trained and the conditions he was subjected to in Thailand was a real eye opener. Having a guided tour of Lumpinee Stadium before it opened was also very cool.
Thanks to everyone regarding UFC. I will be the first to admit I have no ground game, I mean none. I fought Bonello but I never had a chance, I was offered a lot of money to fight a guy 16-0 in the cage that weighed 20kg heavier then me. I went to the States to learn ground for 6 weeks but I was still a white belt when I left. The fight went 60 seconds before Bonello put me in a rear naked. MMA was fun for a few months but my true passion is Muay Thai.
Cant wait til i see you kick some ass in Canberra on the 30th. Been to thailand twice to train/see it at its best, now the best is coming to to my home town, JWP awesome and good luck !
JWP should personally launch the release of the DVD in major cities, being able to meet him and get your DVD signed would be a good way to promote the DVD and hopefully boost sales.
JWP has to go throughout the main cities and be part of a personal launch of this DVD. He is such a great bloke it would do wonders for sales if he was then to sign the DVD. I would pay top dollar.
Both fighters cut significant weight to make their limit. You'd be wanting a Lightweight fighter from the UFC. There's about 80 in the roster. Take your pick. I'd go with Melvin Guillard.
Thanks to taking the time to have a look at the trailer. It's been a long career and every fight has been as important as the next. I have always dreamed of somehow getting my story out there, with either a book or a movie but never thought it would happen. Thanks to Guy, Jim, Bayden, Alan and Wade, they have helped me turn my dream into a reality. In the doco lot's of fights from Thailand no one has seen before which I thought would stay in the volt forever. This really is a dream come true.
Dana White needs to get Wayne into the UFC. Parr v St Pierre or some of his good standup fighters would get the whole World going. Monies on Wayne of course..untouchable at his weight.
@cenerozzzz UFC is where the money is. fastest growing sport in the world , so not as retarded as you think. I would love to see JWP against GSP , big fight and a big pay check which wayne deserves.
@nakmuay007 he did ,and he was choked out ,then again he only had a months grappling training ,then Wayne asked for a return fight this time just using standup or muay thai rules and nothing came of it. Im wondering if any UFC fighter around his weight would stand up or would they be totally outclassed. Interesting to see wouldnt it.
@pendragonfilm He lost to Bonello by Rear Naked Choke.. Bonello is huge (205+lbs) and has been doing MMA for years..Parr trained for like a month and was tiny compared to Bonello.
Just accepting that fight with such a huge size and experience disadvantage took huge balls.
I would rather he fight a few more top kickboxers that he hasn't fought before than try to fight in mma where he would just be taken down. Their are still a good 5-7 top names in kickboxing that he has not fought yet.
@traveler10001000 Didnt realise Bonello was so big ... Cant understand why bonello would want to fight Wayne who had no ground experience and half his weight ,and demand MMA rules. would have been far better to challenge Wayne at Muay Thai to prove his standup game .
@pendragonfilm Are u serious??? I love JWP as much as the next guy but put him in the UFC octagon with GSP and he will get dominated.GSP is the best pound for pound MMA fighter in history.A stand up only fight would be interesting not a MMA fight!!!
@AetroniDigital Now you have done the Doco , why not get a film together ? How many of millions of punters throughout the world would line up to see him kick arse ... be like the second coming of Bruce Lee !
Producing a documentary on JWP was a such a treat. Being a huge fan, it was a genuine honor to be a part of telling his story. Wayne is not only a legend of the sport but a true gentleman. A man of courage and humility - one of a kind.

GSP fights at 77kg (170lb)
Silva is at an even heavier weight.

Yeah. and it wouldnt be fair for Wayne to fight Gsp in mma rules. Its like having gsp fight Wayne in Muay thai rules. Different sports.
leinad667 7 months ago
@leinad667
Give GSP 12 months of pure Muay Thai training and I'd wager my money on him to win over JWP.

the sport isnt called ufc, its mma. and JWP seems happy and satisfied with Muay thai, no reason to take the time and risk to crossover fulltime.
