Well this run is segmented, so it was made in more than 1 sitting, if I make an (major) error or there was bad luck (World 3 boss, Red ? Box/Hammer Bro map position), I retry the entire segment. In fact it took over 2 months to produce the entire run from segment 1 to 45.

A freind told me that you get 3 stars in the game and world 9 will be unlocked. He said you have to collect all star coins, have all paths unlocked and defeat bowser. But, looks like it's just fake.

'Verified no cheating' at the very start of the video.

If you clear 8-Bower's Castle you can use the item houses unlimited amount of times. And yes this run is done with a camera because Nintendo hasn't released a GBA Player equivalent to the DS.

The main reason why this speed run has 45 parts is because of heavy optimisation and luck maniupulation.

I only have 2 stars even though ive unlocked all the cannons those green pipes you use to skip levels, i've gotten all the coins and spent them all on the wallpapers and i've bought the last special walpaper where you need to unlock the canons and exits to get. after i did that i did the last level on world 8 again yet i still dont have 3 stars. how do i get 3 stars please help me

For his doing, spirit tracks cant be accepted for speed run. The many cutscenes it has arent skippable. And for speed runs those cutscene's may not be there. NSMB had hardly cutscene's and was acceptable since most time was focused on gameplay. Spirit tracks will have some story elements that keep you from playing for a long time to get informed of things. That cant happen on speed runs as it slows you down on overall time. Also when one already read the text. It aint an idea to skip text right?

Actually in Phantom Hourglass you can skip cutscenes, since Spirit Tracks uses the same engine, it will have skippable cutscenes.

Have you even seen games that have long cutscenes like Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask?

Okay so you can skip cutscenes. Though you cant skip alot, so still alot of cutscenes remain and making the speedrun invalid for use. Spirit tracks will use about the same engine, they have a small change to their engine to make objects run smooth when link rides on the train other then that same engine, yep.

No, if you talk about the DS/game boy etc series of zelda, no long cutscenes. Though i thought cutscenes taking up 4minutes is too much for a speedrun where you like to see direct play.

The cutscene in Link's Awakening were longer than normal texts in Phantom Hourglass. There isn't a rule that gets rejected for long cutscenes. In fact the longest run on SDA now is over 10 hours long which is Final Fantasy 10 new game+ segmented.

Good, that gives a bettery chance for doing speedruns. Since cutscene's are not really parts where you play and do stuff like fighting and moving. Meh, cutscenes in PH also didnt took too long. Nice for speedrun, i saw yours of PH, so i understand now. I wonder whether you will do a speedrun of spirit tracks or do a playthrough/walkthrough(depend­ing on fun factor). 25 days though. I cant wait. I bother bother if its bad, since the game will be hard due to its mechanics to master.

Apparently Official Nintendo Magazine online says that it's better than Phantom Hourglass so that's a plus. They also said that the controls were slighly tweaked such as rolling.
