And this is where I stooped watching the series. I said if Charlie died, I'd stop watching. BUT about the time Charlie died, Charlotte came in so I said "Ok, if SHE dies, I'm not watching." and i havent since
@ShikamaruXTemari That's a pretty sad way to watch a show. Should the death of your favorite character make you want to watch the show even more -- to see if that character did or did not die in vain?
@miketheman123 Yeah, I get where you're coming from but I don't really care if she died to help out characters like Jack (who I'm not entirely fond of). IMO, the fifth season was a real disappoint all around after the fourth. But I have to watch the final season. I can't have wasted the last five years of my life watching this show and then not find out the answers to all the questions. This show invades your brain and you can't get it out. I've tried.
The Charlotte age paradox has been explained. The writers used Rebecca Mader's real birthdate but forgot to change the year to 1971 to support the character's age.
yeah but that's what makes her die ... i mean Daniel tells her to go away and she goes with her mum but then when she grows up she'll find the island again and she'll die ... so if daniel wouldn't have told her to go away maybe she wouldn't be dying XD!
He told her to leave because if he didn't, the bomb had a chance of killing everyone. That's why he made everyone evacuate from the island in the first place.
No doubt he was thinking "She either dies now or later." so he let her die 'later'. [although thanks to the time jumps she actually died a LONG time ago, when the statue was still standing].
I think he realizes that the only way he can save her is to tell her to not go on the island in the first place, so when the island flashes back to the time when she was living as a little girl, he tells her not to come back, to try and save her in the future
I love her voice!

this was probably one of the saddest deaths :-/. they sure mastered the dramatic part of it in these scenes.

The sad thing is that she is an anthropoligist, yet she dies on the same island she grew up on...

Tell me something.
According to Ben (4x02 Confirmed Dead), Charlotte was born in 1979. In 1977 (5x14 The Variable) she's already born!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha,
of course all of this heartache could be part of "the game"
my sister has a theory that the people who die become benevolent Island spirits (ie charlie ;)
Charlotte could very well be sitting in a room watching her over her cohorts and friends the same way we do XD
