I hope u true blue blooded singaporean NTU students know that u face more than just sharing triple rooms when u graduated and worked in the real society if the current situation of FT by our beloved gov persists on.
The table/bed is ridiculous. How are you to climb up? the racks there are shelves for books!!! and there's still only 2 wardrobes. Wah, heng I graudading this sem, no triple sharing room for me!
I think NTU has increased their intake of students. thus, even if the minority protest about the cramp space, it will not affect the majority still wanting a place in Uni, which will also not affect the hostel administration. =/
i can tell if 100 foreign student planned to come to NTU, 50 backed out because of the high tuition fee and 48 died in the first sem in NTU triple room because of high temperature spa. the other 2 stays in double room.....
It's a terrible move to implement it at the newer (yet smaller) halls. If triple rooms were tested out in the halls with bigger rooms I'm sure it wouldn't be as detested. In fact when people realise the chances of getting a room has increased they'll welcome it. Boils down to poor strategy.
THe canteen now is super pack during lunch hours, so many students and yet not enough lecturers.... all they want is to get more money into their pocket while compromising on quality of education and accomdation. Those who receive A lvl result this Fri... dun choose NTU!
they should air con the room, 3 ppl share the air con more economical, but then again, this is one of the stupidest ideas that people from a university could have ever come up with so it really doesn't matter.

Cram your tests in a crammed environment - Double Cram! Suffocate to death if you're a guy and everyone else just couldn't be bothered to bathe!
The ultimate acid test would be for the decision makers to actually live in these show units for, let's say, a month. It's to show that their decision is really based on real-world considerations (not some hypothetical assumptions).
Converting lots of rooms without trial will just be an expensive misfire. Also, given the classic dorm anecdotes (underwear-drying in microwaves, anyone?), it will take a massive change of behaviour on residents for these rooms to be habitable.
