The true story of Sinuhe should be told, I've read the original legend, it was very good and is worthy of a film, as long as the story isn't screwed up. I still love this movie though!!!
Once again history is changed. Sinuhe was from the 12th Dynasty. He`s been stolen from Ancient Egyptian literature "The Tale of Sinuhe", the earliest manuscript being from ca. 1800 BC, some 500 years earlier than the 18th Dynasty to which Akhenaten belonged. Sinuhe was probably fictitious, but no one knows.
Paatenemheb was Commander-in-chief of Akhenaten's army not Horemheb. Tutankhamun gave Horemheb that position, after Akhenaten had been removed from power.
History's first "Yes" man @ 5:00. He's the guy standing behind Victor "Manure" and Henry Daniell. He only has 2 lines in the entire movie, both of them consisting of: "Yes!!"
To bad he was not history's LAST "Yes" man. We have more of them now than ever, mostly in high corporate and government positions.
Interesting to watch the movie after having read the novel! The script is sometimes quite superficial and uninteresting in relation to the dramatic depths of the novel...
