Actually the original was recorded by Wham! which was George Micahel and Andrew Ridgely(sp) They had a bigger hit with "Wake me up before you go-go" Check out Travis' cover of the Wham! song "Last Christmas"

@ascrodin George Michael.. the original is good too, but the second best version, besides barenaked ladies cover being the best, is 3oh!3, juliet simms and alex gaskarth doing a hip hop/rock type thing.. but it is a great cover upbeat and stuff, plus 3oh!3 adds a third verse that kind of has a good flow, but different from the songs flow.. look it up I think it is only on you tube.
