  • this is by far the saddest song thom yorke(the prophet) has ever written

  • honestly, the chords of this song reminds me of some of Tori Amos quieter songs (versus comparing them to Coldplay).

  • People talking about Radiohead coping coldplay.. Very funny guys...

  • @thehungryduck I know, right? especially when it was Radiohead that came first with their sound, THEN Coldplay. Radiohead were huge influences on Coldplay.

  • @thejerseydude I'm a fan of both (MUCH MORE SO RADIOHEAD, HENCE I'M LISTENING TO THIS) but they're different bands. The Bends doesn't sound like Parachutes or the Blue Room EP, vice versa. Different moods entirely.

  • Love it. CP is to Radiohead as Oasis is to Beatles.

  • I just KNOW this will be amazing if they release it, could be as good as pyramid song!

  • @ollyrdfc chill bro. especially when you're mentioning the mighty pyramid song.

  • who's coldplay? and who cares? pictures are really lame though.

  • who's coldplay? and who cares?

  • @BrokenBassBin no, they don't. but... i don't know. it's just this stadium-singalong-thing... which radiohead usually don't have, event if they do stadium-singalong-tracks. hard to explain.

  • don't understand... even as a huge radiohead-fan... this sounds A LOT like a coldplay song.

  • @degriis Coldplay have a monopoly on piano songs now do they?

  • @BrokenBassBin Denial much? It's not just the piano and you know it, even if you won't admit it. There's a definite similarity in the inflection of Thom's voice here, which is even more obvious on Open the Floodgates.

Course C. Martin copied Radiohead's sound in the first instance, so the way I see it, it can't be a BAD thing.

  • @LantaGem I really don't hear it. I don't get the Coldplay hate to begin with, but this song sounds nothing like Coldplay. Don't accuse of denial please.

  • @BrokenBassBin Oops, too late ;)

Anyhow, I've tried my best to explain what it is about this particular song that's similar, sound-wise, to that Other Band who can't be named in the same sentence as the great Radiohead... so I guess we're at an impasse. *shrugs*

  • @BrokenBassBin For the record, I wasn't trying to hate on CP.

  • Best thing Thom has written in a long time. Can't say enough, I love it.

  • this song is truly great. i mean, the piano is basic..but good. but the lyrics are simply stunning.

  • amazingggg

  • cant wait to see how radiohead fleshes this out. or could this be a song for another solo album?

  • Awesome! Thank you!

  • Love this song, love all Radio"s and Thom's songs.......Thank you for posting:) regards to all

  • Don't we realize we are all here to dive and we're out of here?

We're just skirting on the surface

We have only to click our fingers and we'll disappear

We're just skirting on the surface

Dull lies try to pull you through the ice

    Being drawn to the ledge

When we realize the world's still broken nothing mends

We're just skirting on the surface

  • Love the song. I hope it will be included in a future Radiohead/Thom Yorke album or EP :)

  • We can only hope!!!!

  • @limm1271 i hope too with the "present tense"^^

  • Anyone can, It's just a matter of what they have to offer.

  • Great song

  • thanks a lot for posting this, since i was there the audio is really what counts. Now i have it with me until i die, or my computer blows up <3

  • Good song, good video, good concept....
