I don't think it's sportsman-like. The grunting is so excessive that it isn't just the physical exertion that's making them do it. It's an attempt to intimidate and put-off their opponent. Is see it a lot in professional table tennis - after each point, the player that wins does a hell of a lot of fist-pumping and yelling - as if to say "Ha ha I beat you, asshole!" The only difference is players in table tennis can't yell or grunt during a point - otherwise I think they forfeit it.
