My e39 530d auto range from full tank went upto 620 miles when I reset the computer and took it straight on motorway. Driving from London to the lake district it did the 600 miles doing 80mph all the way! But around London the range goes down to 400 if I'm lucky
PS: In reality, I got about 450 miles to a tank in my Automatic 530d, at an average of about 31mpg. Not great. Manual ones are much better for economy.

I've got an 530d 2003, I drived from Calais to 50km away from warsaw with one tank, I reprogramed the ecu, but I couldn't belive it!!! 1400 km

is this an e39 or e60 i filled mine up the other day and it wasn't even empty it took £77
at £1.20(f ing rip offs) and the range was showing 390 miles iv'e got an e39

Hi, This is an E39 530d. This video is when diesel was 106.9. It is now about 121.9p near me now. Agree, rip off Britain.

LOL you'd never get 509 miles out of it.. the range is upto 100 miles optimistic!!
Mercedes ranges are much more accurate.

The e60 530d is way more economical and the milage remaing was spot on, I got 521 miles from full to reserve, and I wasn't driving miss daisy!
