However, Iraq was just a cover so Bush could get his hands on some more petroleum. @MsGibbs2011 Bush presidency had an all Repub Congress. In our gov. there has to be agreement for things like bills to pass. Important to know → Only congress has the power to write bills. Period. Not the president. He can only sign or veto bills. News always omit this fact. Bush got everything he wanted without resistance or debate. Sen. McConnell (R) said, the mission of R. party was to make Obama one term pres. A way to do that is hurt you. R's in congress have roadblocked everything.
