  • Does Terry Hall own a time machine? Because this song is clearly about Facebook.

  • The Colourfield is one of the best bands in the 80s. My favorite songs of theirs are "Thinking Of You" and "Windwills Of Your Mind".

  • yes this is cool. i met terry once :)

  • Terry Hall = Genius

  • "There's a weapon, that we can use, in our defence, silence." So simple but the lyrics are awesome!

  • Fun Boy Three eventually became The Colourfield.

  • Great song.

  • I think Fun Boy 3 wrote this and go go,s covered it

  • @stevefanslow false. the go-go's wrote their own music. this band covered it.

  • @electroxxxd actually it was each written by the other, Jane Weidlen of the GoGos, and Terry Hall... It Belonged equally to both Bands........you are incorrect... somewhat...this band did no cover but you are correct in that the GoGos wrote their own...usually Jane at the helm/

  • Certainly a lot darker than the Go-Go's version...each is really appropriate for each group though. I'm a fan of both versions.

  • @AEMoreira81

    +1

  • Very well mixed by somebody who wasn't into Ska at all

  • Love this man and his songs!

  • beautiful new wave synth pop

  • Certainly a different feel from The Go-go's cover; this is far superior.

  • 5 people don't know good music when it bites them on the arse.

  • Great song! Thanks much for sharing. And on a side-note.... I think Jane Wiedlin's the hottest of all the Go-Go's, IMHO :)

  • @TrueCourse For me Belinda was the hot one and Jane was the cute one. Just my opinion.

  • an absolute classic pity mr hall was a recluse or we could have had lots more of his beautiful tones

  • brill!always been a fav of mine for years.

  • Terry Hall is a legend in his own life time x

  • Super record

  • Terry Halls Terry Blair And Anouchka single Ultra Modern Nursery Rhymes is back up!

  • so much better than todays x factor shite and terry's a die hard red.

  • use to here this on mobile discos in the 80'!!s

  • Love this, i used to sit in my bedroom tapeing it off the radio! happy days

  • i dont like the part when they go: hush my darling dont u cry etc

dont think it adds to this wonderful song at all

  • Still a haunting song, haven't heard it for 20yrs but still as fresh as ever.

  • brilliant just gotto get steo the dj to play it reflex broad st birmingham x

  • excellent track.

  • TheManolakis Has spoken Maybe he has come out of the closet? Tell Your Daddy and Mummy ! IF its any other reason and you don't like 80's or this this song P155 OFF. But some of us are happily married with kids and still enjoy 80's music N3rd.

  • Just one word . Thanks!

  • Another timeless classic from yet another underated band from the most underated era in music history

  • what a track, cheers

  • you don`t hear Cheryl Cole singing a quality song like this timeless brilliance! dam site better than her so called music!!!

  • what a great tune

  • Was written by Go-Go's guitarist Jane Wiedlin and Terry Hall. In my opinion this is the better!! Long live the 80's....best decade evr!!!!!!

  • In my humble opinion, this is about a thousand times better than the Go Go's version. This is nice and eerie. The Go Go's version is too sunny...

  • @alshouse

    totally agree

  • stop chatin just listen!!!!

  • i also love the go go's interpretation. However I must confess that belinda carlisle may have alot to do with that!!!!

  • love this, just hits the spot! always have always will, don't even know why....

  • Actually this IS the original, written by terry,he and Jane Weidlin were friends. The Go-Go's just recorded and released it first.

  • i would still prefer the origanal this is a cover of belinda carlisles gogos still good tho

  • This IS a cover...but Terry Hall wrote it, and I think he does a fantastic job on it. It's dark and moody, just like he is :D. It's my favourite version of the tune, even though I do like the Gogos version of it quite a bit.

  • since it was written by jane wiedlin and terry hall, and this is Terry Hall singing it, you can't really say this is a cover. You can't do a cover of a song you wrote.

  • which 'lips'? upper or lower?

whaff whaff whaff, I thank you

  • What version is this from? It's not the single.

  • I NEVER SEEM TO GET BORED OF THIS TUNE

  • I'd heard this song when I was 17. Its a classic. Many thanks mandaluyongboy for keeping it rolling for people like me!

  • one of the best lyrics ever written.

  • Written by Jane Wiedlin of the go gos

  • "Our lips are sealed" Written by jane wiedlin and terry hall...

  • AND Terry Hall.

  • you're spot on dogssteve!!!! Class choon.

  • even though their lips are sealed the song says so much - one in the eye for the nasty gossips who have no life of their own & find strength in numbers.

  • aye, crowd mentality is a sad factor in life

  • i listened to this song once when baked out of my mind....it freaked me out, when i'm not high i like it

  • top tune!

  • einfach ein super song!

  • romania loves this song

  • absolutely fab song...true ska!!!

  • Fab song this is true, but not really ska its more New Wave 80's...haha loads of top rockers and punks went through this kind of phase in the eighties like Weller with Style Council, google image them and check out some of his styles and haircuts-funny!!! PEACE

  • great tune, remember taping this from the telly holding my tape recorder up to it!! used to listen to this, specials, and belle star "sign of the times" god bless the 80`s :))

  • Love this song!!!

  • Wasn't a fan of them at the time ... or even now, but I'd be the first to say that this song was/is simply cool as f**k!!!

The whole song is deceptively simple in both structure and delivery.

Todays "musicians" could learn a lot from listening to this.

Best listened to loud ... d'you agree?

  • well ive always been into twotone and the like so followed him when he formed funboy three, he did some great tunes, and as you say the lyrics etc are excellent

  • Agreed. Would love it if someone would post the Fun Boy Three's version of the Monkees song "She", even if it is like this, audio only. Thanks!

  • so glad that i found this...maybe it is possible to post some ozher song?
