@datpimpinboy Nissan; yes, Mitsubishi; that's just as big a question, right now as Suzuki. They make pretty good cars, but it's hard to foresee Mitsubishi's future here in the US.

@datpimpinboy Isn't Mitsubishi going to discontinue the EVO? It would be nice for Mitsubishi/Suzuki to stay but we'll just have to see. And although Mazda isn't what it used to be, it's still strong and they have a great future ahead of themselves. The key is to innovate and advertise. That's how Nissan got to where they are today.

@banstaman No, that's something people misunderstand. Mitsubishi WAS going to cancel the EVO, but all the fans protested and they listened and decided to keep it. However, word says that the next EVO will have some sort of hybrid engine which if true is pretty disappointing :( Mazda is pretty strong, and much more with the new Skyactive engine. And yeah, Nissan definitely took it big on advertisement and i think they're going to become the number 1 Japanese automaker sooner or later.

I really don't have a problem with a hybrid powertrain, because the instant torque from an electric motor is more than welcome, and alternative propulsion in some cases can take place of forced induction very well. I wouldn't want Nissan to become the largest of them. It's pretty easy to see that being the largest in any segment of the auto industry is dangerous. Ie. Toyota, GM, VW. Nissan makes GREAT cars now, I wouldn't want that to change
