Ahhhh, those were the days when you could find such treasures in a thrift store! This was the song that gave me my first introduction to the marvelous music of the 1920s. Sometime in the 1970s *I seem to recall that this song was used in a made-for-TV movie about the Lindbergh kidnapping.

  • Sounds great! I once asked my dad what was the most exciting thing he ever experienced. He said it was seeing Lindbergh in the ticket tape parade when he returned to New York. Businesses were closed and kids were let out of school. Everyone along the parade route were waving little American flags and singing this song while Lindbergh was waiving to the crowds.

  • I just picked this up in a lot of edison Diamond disks I am happy i own this one

  • Wow! thanks!

  • This was recorded shortly after Charles Lindbergh's legendary flight to Paris in May 1927. Dalhart also recorded "Lucky Lindy", THE definitive popular song about the flight and the mania that swept the country over Lindbergh that summer...

  • I WANT THIS RECORD!!!
