  • Such an odd blend of German and Japanese. Menacing German voice, innocent sounding Elize, Miku-chan... Creepy.

  • Miku's evil laugh at the end, lovely.

  • live = the best.

  • Raging, I can't believe they removed half of the translations due to copyright issues. The videos are given a completely new market due to soichirokun's work. What A waste!!

  • 7th Album...7 Failry tales ...7 Human Sins...

  • yeai :D I love how popular German is in Japan :D And I love how many japanese people can actually pronounce german words quite well :D

  • In the hall of the mountain king doesn't make sense in this album (it's from Norway)..but the melody fits it..

  • I love 7:05-7:35

    Chopin + guitar ftw

  • Even though I watched the prologue, I still don't understand how Therese and Mar died...did those two guys push Mar into the well and burn Therese??? And did Mar kill Elize in the end??

  • and if so, why did those two guys do that? D:

  • @godknowslife Yes, the two guys pushed Mar into the well, and later Therese was burned at the stake by the village because they believed she was a witch, due to her abilities. idk if Mar killed Elize though . . . that one is very uncertain . . . though the popular theory is that because he gave up on revenge, she was no longer necessary and her spirit 'ceased to exist.' something along those lines. (Hope that was helpful!)

  • I'm new to Sound Horizon - it's always been Kalafina for me - but their style really pulls me in! A storybook and beautiful drawings.

  • @OfficialPKW9 Elize's talking is done by a voice actress Saki Fujita who's voice is sampled for Miku Hatsune and they do use Vocaloid for Elize's singing voice. Miku Hatsune is in credit too.

  • Does anyone know the words coming out of the well (the little image at the bottom) at 7:44-8-14? It looks like "Ich wollte hiere" which is German and (according to Google translate) means "I wanted to" Anyone know if there's more there?

  • @desuniki As far as I can hear it, when you first see the picture, Ido says: "Ich wollte hier nicht sterben." And translated it means: "I didn't want to die here", just like what you can see in the translation. :)

  • Did Sound Horizon start using Miku? Or is it her voice actor? Either way, the seventh story is the best yet X]

  • @PoisonCupCakes1

Saki Fujita voices Elise, and they used Hatsune Miku to sing her part.

  • That's Miku!??!?

  • For those who don't know it, Saki Fujita is the person who voiced Hatsune Miku, I'm going to guess they wanted to give an extra doll feeling to it by using Miku, though personally I would have prefered her own voice.

This is just a guess though and I hope I'm not sounding obnoxious or anything, because I don't want to sound like that.

  • Thats cuz it is MIKU :P :) Num nums :)

  • Those symbols at the bottom look a lot like Puella Magi witches :D

  • Just wanting to say, your German translations aren't correct. ^^;

  • I heard Miku !

  • Seriously thank you so much for translating these!!!! Im a huge sound horizon fan ^_~

  • so,let me see if i understood what is going on... elise and marchen were revived by someone after dying in a well, and have decided to extract revenge. however, they cant remember who they wanted to extract it on, and so have decided to help other humans do so, in this case the princesses... is this right?

  • @darkwings16 Well, Elise didn't get revived though. She's just a doll bearing the Id, Therese's grudge, and Elisabeth's love. The rest part with Marchen is true, though the revived one is Marz.

  • @joe021093 oh, ok:D thanks!

  • @ wonderpearls: the German word "Roman" means not just a story, the right translation is "novel"

by the way story would be "Geschichte" in German

  • @katastrophenkeks Oh yeah, you're right. Thanks for clarifying that.

  • i just saw something.

in the album yoiyami no uta is the last song , and its a slow song, cus its the good bye song.

gyoukou no uta is the first song and that is this song, the faster one.

  • @TwinDafne Well, you're wrong actually. Yoiyami no Uta is the first song, the fast one, and Gyoukou no Uta is the last song, the farewell. pd: You know, I'm still doing this, I just uploaded the 8th song, so I'm working in the last one at the moment. Not that there is no last song, it's just that I'm still doing it.

  • i have been looking for the end `gyoukou on uta` but you dont have it.

i feel there is no end without it.

i know that Yoiyami no Uta and Gyoukou no Uta is almose the same song just that one is more slower than the other but its stil a part of the album.

  • 'A "Roman" met by chance'

Ah, I see what you did there..

  • "Roman" means "story" in German. Shouldn't it then be "A story met by chance"? In the original Japanese text it, too, actually says "story", and "Roman" is written in a bracket.

  • @wonderpearls Roman means story in French. That line is a reference to Sound Horizon's 5th Story Album "Roman"

  • Elize is his friend or the doll? Or maybe his cute friend and the doll are the same..?

  • Elize Rullz!>.<!

  • why do i hear miku hatsune?...

  • @oban4ever because she plays as Elise . Her voice actor also does the narration.

  • @oban4ever Because it is Miku Hatsune xD ...

  • @oban4ever Because it is Miku Hatsune

  • @oban4ever

    Because its she!

  • Wooo, es gibt Deutsch!

  • Freude, schöner Götterfunken,

    S.14 Tochter aus Elysium,

    Wir betreten feuertrunken

    Himmlische, dein Heiligtum!

    S.15 Deine Zauber binden wieder,

    Was die Mode streng geteilt;

    Alle Menschen werden Brüder

    Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt;

  • I'm actually surprised how good their German is (at least what I could understand).

I already like it and look forward to the other songs :)

  • Did i just hear Miku's voice from 8:16 onwards somewhere there...?

  • @schchaos it is miku voice.did you see the intro of this video? in Hikaru to Yami no Douwa,Miku voice is lot more than in this song

  • is there any live version that will coming out soon for this song? and for the whole story? reply me if there is any possible chance for the live version.

  • @HogunSam There hasn't been any announcement for the concert DVD yet, but I'm 95% sure there will be one.

  • I wonder, what classical song that's in the "a a a a aishiteru" part at the opening?

    It sound so familiar...

the part before "Diese Gesichte ist fiktion"

  • @Kairikey It sounds a bit like Beethoven's Fur Elise to me...

  • @LarukuHyde yeah, it sure does...=w=

I think that's the song I was looking for XD

  • Around 8:15 - 8:40 you can actually hear In the Hall of the Mountain King (Edvard Grieg) from Peer Gynt

It woulb be great to add it to your notes.

Otherwise good work and thanks for the translation, it' quite helpful ^^

  • @OHelianthus Yes, it's possible but I am not totally sure about it... I don't know why. For me it sounds a bit different to The Hall of the Mountain King, and also Grieg is norwegian, and melodies are heading west (Austria-Germany-Poland-Russia). Also, Grieg is not mentioned in the booklet, while Mozart, Betthoven, Chopin and Mussorgsky are. Anyway, I'll add it with an annotation

  • @soichirokun Well, I could be wrong. I had the feeling there was something in that part of Yoiyami no Uta that sounded very familiar, but if there is no mention of Grieg in the booklet, that's quite intriguing...

  • @soichirokun You mean east.

  • @Krisenaa oh, sure xD. Thanks Krisena!

  • Austria would be so proud, both ode to joy and Chopin in one song

  • @kaitokita Chopin was Polish...

  • Hatsune Miku.....You mean Hatsune Miku from Vocaloid? *0*

  • Wow, I just started putting up my translation on animelyrics . com, too.

    What a coincidence, XD.

I've translated only the first two, though. I'm trying to finish all of them within 2 weeks. Not sure if that's be feasible.

Good luck to both of us! (If you're making more!) =)

  • This wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this. May I ask if you're planning on making these translation videos for all the other songs, too? I know it's a lot to ask though :(

  • Thanks for the awesome work! totally subscribing to you guys XD

  • You... guys... are... AWESOME :D

Thanks for the translation~~ Been waiting for this XD

  • Thx for the amazing video... I was hoping for a video of this song in Karaoke like style as well as showing the singer for each part, then this came up =D

  • So... Elyse's voice... Is that Saki Fujita? o_O

  • @MissAmika : it's Saki Fujita for the speaking parts, and Hatsune Miku for the singing ^^

  • @Shinterymi thank you very much ^^

  • UWAAAAHHH! *pun intended* Awesome job, thank you Kurobara! I like that you include who's singing and other notes. It helps a lot. :D

  • Thank you so much Kurobara! You really did a great job! It's really better to understand what's going on.

I'm also looking forward to the other videos but don't overwork, we'll feel bad about it.

  • Really, really good job ! I can't think about how much time it takes you. It's really flowing and easy to read while listening :3

I look forward to your videos too ! And please, don't overwork yourself too (don't be a Revo-type-man too much, if I can say ! xD)
