Raging, I can't believe they removed half of the translations due to copyright issues. The videos are given a completely new market due to soichirokun's work. What A waste!!
I've noticed ( I'm not sure if anyone else has picked up on it ) when Sascha counts down near the end - ( at 9:30 ) you could hear a few sounds from all of the songs within the album well, the sins not counting Gyoukou no Uta.
at zwei - I hear chains or a whip; at eins I hear the bar of gold dropping and/or Elisabeth's mask. I'm not too sure if I can hear any other sound effects from the other five songs. >w<"
Even though I watched the prologue, I still don't understand how Therese and Mar died...did those two guys push Mar into the well and burn Therese??? And did Mar kill Elize in the end??
@godknowslife Yes, the two guys pushed Mar into the well, and later Therese was burned at the stake by the village because they believed she was a witch, due to her abilities. idk if Mar killed Elize though . . . that one is very uncertain . . . though the popular theory is that because he gave up on revenge, she was no longer necessary and her spirit 'ceased to exist.' something along those lines. (Hope that was helpful!)
@OfficialPKW9 Elize's talking is done by a voice actress Saki Fujita who's voice is sampled for Miku Hatsune and they do use Vocaloid for Elize's singing voice. Miku Hatsune is in credit too.
Does anyone know the words coming out of the well (the little image at the bottom) at 7:44-8-14? It looks like "Ich wollte hiere" which is German and (according to Google translate) means "I wanted to" Anyone know if there's more there?
@desuniki As far as I can hear it, when you first see the picture, Ido says: "Ich wollte hier nicht sterben." And translated it means: "I didn't want to die here", just like what you can see in the translation. :)
For those who don't know it, Saki Fujita is the person who voiced Hatsune Miku, I'm going to guess they wanted to give an extra doll feeling to it by using Miku, though personally I would have prefered her own voice.
This is just a guess though and I hope I'm not sounding obnoxious or anything, because I don't want to sound like that.
so,let me see if i understood what is going on... elise and marchen were revived by someone after dying in a well, and have decided to extract revenge. however, they cant remember who they wanted to extract it on, and so have decided to help other humans do so, in this case the princesses... is this right?
@darkwings16 Well, Elise didn't get revived though. She's just a doll bearing the Id, Therese's grudge, and Elisabeth's love. The rest part with Marchen is true, though the revived one is Marz.
@TwinDafne Well, you're wrong actually. Yoiyami no Uta is the first song, the fast one, and Gyoukou no Uta is the last song, the farewell. pd: You know, I'm still doing this, I just uploaded the 8th song, so I'm working in the last one at the moment. Not that there is no last song, it's just that I'm still doing it.
"Roman" means "story" in German. Shouldn't it then be "A story met by chance"? In the original Japanese text it, too, actually says "story", and "Roman" is written in a bracket.
is there any live version that will coming out soon for this song? and for the whole story? reply me if there is any possible chance for the live version.
@OHelianthus Yes, it's possible but I am not totally sure about it... I don't know why. For me it sounds a bit different to The Hall of the Mountain King, and also Grieg is norwegian, and melodies are heading west (Austria-Germany-Poland-Russia). Also, Grieg is not mentioned in the booklet, while Mozart, Betthoven, Chopin and Mussorgsky are. Anyway, I'll add it with an annotation
@soichirokun Well, I could be wrong. I had the feeling there was something in that part of Yoiyami no Uta that sounded very familiar, but if there is no mention of Grieg in the booklet, that's quite intriguing...
This wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this. May I ask if you're planning on making these translation videos for all the other songs, too? I know it's a lot to ask though :(
Thx for the amazing video... I was hoping for a video of this song in Karaoke like style as well as showing the singer for each part, then this came up =D
Such an odd blend of German and Japanese. Menacing German voice, innocent sounding Elize, Miku-chan... Creepy.

Did Sound Horizon start using Miku? Or is it her voice actor? Either way, the seventh story is the best yet X]

@ wonderpearls: the German word "Roman" means not just a story, the right translation is "novel"
by the way story would be "Geschichte" in German

【Head for the east】
1:08 Germany(Für Elise / Beethoven)
→ Austria(Eine kleine Nacht Musik / Mozart
→ Poland(Fantaisie-Impromptu / Chopin)
→ Russia(Pictures at an Exhibition / Mussorgsky)
I don’t know about Ode to joy(Germany / Beethoven) and Peer Gynt(Norway / Grieg)though.
also, Ode to joy→Fantaisie-Impromptu can be interpreted as “the love of the god is a mere illusion”
Japanese word 幻想(Fantaisie)has both good and bad meaning.
