You see, the original sonic games had passion behind them. They wanted to compete in every way. With Graphics!! With Platforming!! And last but not least MUSIC! Because Mario had great catchy tunes, they wanted better songs that werent little melodies but could totally be pop hits
you could make sonic roll in sonic 1 but you couldnt do a stop and rev up a spin dash in sonic 1 i hope this clears up the odd confusion!... It would have been great if sonic and knuckles could have worked with sonic 1

@bag2289 In sonic 1 if you run really fast and then hold down, sonic will start rolling as IF he were doing a spin dash, bun you can't do it while you are standing still like in the other ones.

Great choices. Tottaly agree on Sonic 1. Would have put Death egg and Aquatic ruin on 2. I would also put Lava Reef and a couple of bits of Robotnik/boss music Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
I like this list. It's so similar to my own. My only additions would have been Aquaitc Ruin and Hidden Palace from Sonic 2 as well as Flying Battery and Sandopolis from Sonic 3.

This is a good list. There are so many great sonic songs, but I would have definitely put aquatic ruin on there.
