  • Is that your camera or did you rent it?

  • @dallen424 It's my school's DVX100. It's only standard def, but I'd take a good lens over high def any time

  • which camcorder did you use??? Please let me know... i liked this short film, it was great!!!

  • @mark872008 DVX100b, It's actually an SD camera, but the lens is pretty decent, so the raw footage came out nicely. I'm hoping to get an hdslr at some point, maybe a canon T2i

  • Spotted this on IndyMogul's Backyard FX.

    It's very effective.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Very very cool mate. Well shot and scored. The atmosphere was perfect. I'd love to see more from you!

  • great film!

best short film ive seen til yet

  • Had to come by after seeing you on indymogul, Great job i thnk you have a bright future! Great colors, sfx were dead on, and the music fit perfectly. Great compostion. Constructive critism clean up the edits a bit to make em smoother transitions and put it in more fesitvals. good luck to you, Hope to see your name on the bid screen someday. I think you can!

  • @Thanatos32 Thanks I appreciate it, I definitely learned a lot from this to apply on future projects.

  • Wow, i must say i am impressed, this was awesome!

So well done and planned out with the soundtrack and camera angles!

I've been in my school's film fest three years now, and I must say, this blows anything I've done out of the water haha

    Bravo

  • I loved this short film... very well done... although I must admit, I've watched it several times and you have utilized everything that makes a great film... but I have no idea what I've just watched. If you were going for the effect of having your audience say... what happened to her, why did it happen and how did it happen and will it happen again... then GREAT JOB. Great job anyway buddy, you are going to be someone to watch out for :D

  • Well im glad i looked that up after watching Indy Mogul, Really cool. The soundtrack matched perfectly, so much suspense was created.

Left us unknowing what happened to her was a good move (production and writing wise)

  • @EyesOnMeStudios thanks, that was a tough choice. A lot of people have asked why that wasn't explained - I think it makes for a more interesting plot.

  • hey nice video and i saw the trailer on indy mogul

  • great video man. ,It gave me some ideas for the video i am working on I really like the lighting in some scenes and the color gave it a real creepy effect. Anyways what was the name of the song she was singing because i would really love to use it or at least something like it for my video

  • @Dustinxcooper The song is part of Fauré's Requiem. The chorus at my school had just finished singing it, so we all knew the music, it just ended up being convenient. The color was definitely one of the aspects I spent the most time on. Bad color is really a pet peeve of mine in video.

  • Well done. I suggest an External Mic, Foley, Possibly ADR, and Lighting enhancements in your next film. Also for lighting you don't need to buy big lights.. sometimes its actually better to use a reflector. It works really well for me! Good job! I liked it!

  • Interesting but I didnt get the film. Did she figuratively kill herself to get the part? It kept me interested but I didnt understand.

  • good work...R.G.

  • Nice work

    It found it beautiful made

  • Great short...kinda makes me wonder how she died? Unless I missed that

  • hey

    well done!

how do u get the color effect like in the last shot with the bloody door? i mean that the egdes of the picture a darker.

and what did u edit it with?

    nice work

    max

  • @illergen I think the last shot is actually one of the biggest mistakes, the focus on the door is off, but the blood took so long to set up we decided not to reshoot it. All of the editing and color was done Final Cut and with a plug-in called Looks. I also did a little after effects work, but most of that was to get rid of the microphone when it got in the shot.

  • what kind of camera did you use?

  • @devlin098 I borrowed my school's dvx100, but the original footage looks pretty different, I ended up doing a lot of color in post
