Hands down Evangelion is the most over hyped anime in history. I tried to give it enough chances, but I still hate it. Shinji is so big of an emo that he makes Saske from Naruto look like a man among men. And about why Asuka fell in love with Shinji, "What does she see in that kid?!" (Doc Brown quote)
Evangelion ended like it did, knowing it would provoke discussion for decades to come,because it the best anime ever. Also it makes decemination of plot articles more repulsive. The fewer brains trying to discover the secrets of Eva the better. Rich content shouldnt have to endure a 'yes' and 'no' from an indifferent public.

that series was confusing :( well the last 2 episodes were, with all their loose ends. i just watched end of evangelion and i'm even more confused now :( i think i get it but i probably don't
episodes 25 and 26 (the ones with the loose ends lol) is wat they HAD to do cus of budgeting problems. End of Evangelion is seen as the true ending, but id say that episodes 25 and 26 is shinji accepting instrumentality (seeing as at the end everyones saying congradulations) and The End of Evangelion is him rejecting it
NO they were congradulating him because he DIDN'T accept instrumentality. IN the movie, he does, and that's why It's only Shinji and Askua. Askua was there because she didn't want to be whole with others...
no dude youre looking at it wrong. instrumentality is the joining of all souls, in the series, they were undergoing the process, and everyone was showing him how it would be to accept instrumentality, but in the movie, rei and kowaru show him, but he ends up rejecting it. in the series, he accepts it like everyone else, which is why they congratulate shinji, but in the movie he rejects it, and him and asuka were the only survivors seeing as they were in theyre evas,which is the safest place to b

I completly agree. I was Mindfucked at the end of the anime series. Even the movies were tad bit strange. To me the series was trippy but i still loved it. The ending of the movies and the shows really left me disatisfied. It seems that at the end of every anime series, you are left on a cliffhanger. OR you are not satifsfied with the ending.
@PeterthePickle2 I dunno about that. Read Or Die TV had a satisfying enough ending to me...and thats about all i can think of to counter your argument ^_^; Though the Trigun one is second best to that...for me anyways....eheh ^_^;
It was NOT a "Fuck you" to the fans... with a bigger budget the ending of the TV series would have been very close to what happened in EoE. The two endings are pretty much exactly the same, though told from a different view point.
