These opens have more personality and energy than the FOX O&O look...I resent FOX for cloning their look onto all their stations and trying to make them all look like WNYW. Its my first time seeing this graphics package, but I already like them better than the corporate look. The graphics and music are very fitting for the FOX affiliate in the market.
Yes WNYW is the flagship of FOX, but WTVT started the FOX News look first in '05 with their 11 o'clock newscast, then WHBQ took it second in '06, then WNYW took it. Look it up.
Yes, WTVT intro'd the look in Dec. '05 with NewsEdge at 11. I live in NY. so I know when WNYW debut the look. Besides, it's April '06 they changed their look.
I worked at WHBQ, at the time and you are correct. We actually got many of the graphics straight from WTVT in Tampa. News Edge at 11 in Florida was first with these graphics.
Ironically, the O&O graphics premiered on my birthday over at Big 13 (That's what they called TVT back then). Not to mention I had an AP project due on that day too.
I had no idea that Chris Clausen was the voiceover for the General Cinema trailers!RIP Chris.

I agree. Very powerful graphics package. They also picked the cuts of Magnum very carefully. The FOX O&O look sucks.

Actually, FOX O&O look and music came from WTVT in Tampa. In other words, blame FOX and WTVT for messing up FOX O&O's.

WTVT did start the look in 2005 then WHBQ was 2nd, I know because I live in St. Petersburg and I watch FOX 13 almost every day.
