MotoGP is like Formula One: the bikes aren't available to the public and are purely manufactured for racing. The MotoGP class is 800cc and the bikes make in excess of 200bhp. World Superbikes is the bikes that are available to the public, like the R1 and the Fireblade.

On another topic, nobody said Rossi made the M1 fast on his own, however without Rossi's input, the M1 might not be a championship winning bike as it is today. So what if Jeremy Burgess & his crew moved with him to Yamaha? That does not mean the task of improving the M1 will be any much easier, especially when Honda pretty much dominated the first 2 seasons of the 4-stroke era. I wouldn't say Rossi's a 'god' cos he makes mistakes too BUT with 8 championships, he's a rider unlike any other.

Sorry to say it but Stoner (currently) seems the better out of him and Rossi. I'm not a Rossi fan but he is the GOAT, while Stoner is currently the best. Best in all testing, warmups and free practices and the race this year. Traction control doesn't mean anything as Hayden showed. I'm a duc fan so to see him on top would be great, but we'll have to see how he goes...

Rossi has six years on Stoner. Taking that into account and the fact the ducati is actually the hardest bike to ride, you need to give Stoner credit. It's not the bike. Where are the other ducati's. Last year most if Ducati's were at back. Go through last years resulted and compare melandri and stoner. Why was one at front while the other was running last. And remember, many thought Melandri would be the next Rossi. Well it appears as if Stoner will be the next Doohan.
