  • Y'all are damn good. I was messing around looking for a nice version of this and frankly - after all the proffesionals I listened to - I enjoyed yours. Maybe it's the authenticity - or just the fact that you were obviously into it. But thanks for posting!

  • Where you just messing around with the chords on banjo or did you use tabs?

  • @MellowCruisin I was just messing around. I really dont know what Im doing on the banjo lol. Just improvise.

  • @migmig42 Hi. I think the best version I have heard is the one in the link. It was played and sung by four 16 year olds from Cornwall GBR. They're called Flats and Sharps. youtube.com/watch?v=isMaJG4aCUA

  • @2lidl2 The difference between my video and theres is, its studio recorded, or tracked. This is raw, and would be much better if we tracked it. Also, its the first time we ever tried to play it together. I had never played it on banjo before.

  • @redeyedrednek In fact, the band in the link I provided was the first day they formed and was recorded straight onto an mp3 recorder in one of their bedrooms. Nothing at all was in a studio or using any professional recording equipment.

  • @2lidl2 do you actually know the band?

  • @redeyedrednek I sure do

  • (L)!

  • who says "That ain't the way to play Mr. Monroe's music." ?

This is not bluegrass music, this is rock and roll...

I wish i find two guys like you and try to do as good as you do!!!

All the best from Guadeloupe French West Indies.

  • cool love it

  • I enjoyed this a lot! You guys are having fun and that's what counts. The hell with people who knock you. You're doing better than they could - if they played or sang, they'd have respect for you. Keep having fun!

  • LOL!! Thanks man lol, yea thats my fav. shirt in the world!! Love ol Hank

  • wow, you guys suck...ha ha ha ha. keep it up.

  • ZING!!!! When you make your own videos or play some kind of instrument, then, maybe, your critique will matter.

  • your right. keep 'rollin'.

  • This is not good at all.

  • Whatever. at least were meant to play this music, fucking cheese and toast mate!

  • Redeye, you're the one on the banjo? Did you mean it when you said you just picked it up one day and started picking? Any lessons or no? I've owned a 5string for 20 years and still won't pick it up and just see what comes out, despite having instructional vids and books. Good job, that's my idea of a good time, sittin' around the living room (front/back porch, roof, etc) and jamming up some ol' timey. And, yes, that dude on the couch looks comatose.

  • Yea man, my buddy had one in the closet and ive always wanted to learn, and I can play the guitar pretty good so I figured id give it a go. I got online and printed out the major chords and the rest is history. Ive been able to pick up anything and play it. Drums too.

  • now that I am thinking more clear than last night, falling from the roof It Is a kind of transportation. Hallo From Athens Greece!

  • i know your singing and you know your singing but the neighbors are gonna think your killin a cat. you two wouldtnt know bluegrass if it bit you in the ass.

  • Screw the bluegrass police!

    Every goddamn one of them.

"That ain't the way to play Mr. Monroe's music."

These two guys play what they want... anyway they want!

You're too busy studying some rulebook you made up.

Close-minded idiots like you will NEVER make good music.
