i agree... this is one of Howie Day's best songs. This, "She Says", and "Be There". This is my favorite version too. Well, this one and the one he does at Hotel Cafe. I don't like the album version.
This was one of his performances when he finishes writing the song on stage. he does this alot with songs he just wrote... you can tell because half of the song is completely different than whats on the record.
