Cartoons from the 80's were so good. They sure don't make them like they used too. Was born 1982 & growing up during the 80's tv shows/cartoons/music are generation was amazingly memorable.

Strawberry shortcake used to be my sisters favorite show. She had all the stuff from toys, clothes and sheets. I remember the toy she had it smelled like strawberries lol.

I love this!! We didn't have a VCR or cable when I was little so my mom would let me go to the neighbor's house just to watch this. I was Strawberry Shortcake for 3 or 4 Halloweens! You know I think what made these old cartoons so great is the music, from the lyrics to the melodey in the background all of it tells us the FEELING of the story. You just don't get that kind of effort put into t.v. these days. So sad the artists got so lazy with their computer animation, cutting edge crap.

Those are actually even older going back to the 30's and 40's. 30 years ago was He-Man and Thundercats which had more of a "stuff happens" morality but justified and owed up to everything that happened with approval from children's psychologists. Those pushed the envelope and opened the door for Nickelodeon today. Sadly, there aren't any indie channels outside of Current where something like He-Man could appear. It might fly there b/c Al Gore's wife's friends condemned them then framed Tipper.
